Inadditiontoconstructionjobsovera5 yearperiod,theProjectwouldbring35 newjobstothecommunity,withannual salariesbetween$80,000and$120,000.

GRIDRELIABILITYAND ENERGYSECURITY

Energyforpumpingandpowergenerated bytheProject,wouldbedeliveredthrough anew25-milelongtransmissionline connectingtheProjectwiththeRobinson Summitsubstation.

Energystorageprovidesgridstabilityby balancingsupplyanddemand fluctuations.Thisminimizespricespikes forelectricitycustomers.Excessenergy supplycanbestoredandprovidedbackto thegridwhendemandishigh.Themore energywecanstore,thecloserweareto energyindependence.

Pumpedstoragereducestheoverallcostof electricitybystoringexcessenergyduring periodsoflowdemand,whenvalueislower, andreleasingitduringhighdemand periods,whenelectricitypricesarehigher.
