Hello and welcome to the summer edi2on of our Central Region Newsle8er!

I'm thrilled to introduce myself, Bruno Vinel, as the newly appointed regional organiser, and I'm excited to be edi2ng this first newsle8er during my tenure. If you're curious to learn more about me, feel free to check out my profile on the RPS website.

On Saturday, 12th July, I a8ended my first Members Communica2on mee2ng represen2ng our Central Region. Victoria Humphries, the new RPS CEO, talked about her plans for RPS and her strategy to develop the RPS.

The Central Region Committee consists of Bruno Vinel (organiser), John Simpson (event coordinator), Ian Bailey (treasurer), Gary Hurdman (web), and Tim Walter (special adviser). We have planned four walks and four talks through the Christmas season. We encourage you to attend these events and support our walk leaders and speakers.

I hope the informa2on in this newsle8er will inspire you to dive deeper into your passion. Make the most of the lovely weather and get out there to capture some stunning film or digital shots!

4-26th OCT 2025 | LANDSCAPE GROUP MEMBERS’ EXHIBITION

The RPS Landscape Group is holding its second outdoor exhibition of members’ work across 8+ locations in 2025/26 with 80 landscape images in a run of almost 30 metres: Land & Sea, Urban & Rural, Colour & Mono. Although not exactly in our region, Chester Cathedral is an opportunity to see RPS members’ pictures. More information on this page.

11-12th OCT 2025 | TRAVEL GROUP CONFERENCE | LEMINGTON SPA

To mark the 55th anniversary of the formaCon of the RPS Travel Group, a two-day event conference is organised at Woodland Grange, Leamington Spa. Speakers include Ash Bhardwaj, Peter Brisley ARPS EFIAP DPAGB BPE2*, Nat Coalson ARPS, Sue O’Connell FIPF MPSA EFIAP/d3 DPAGB ABPE, Leigh Preston FRPS EFIAP MPAGB, Chris Roche and Prof. Lindsay Stringer RPS Members £110 inc. a three course. This is an early call for the RPS Audio -Visual Group 26th RPS International Audio Visual Festival taking place in November with Zoom Conference Meeting showing the AV entries received over three or four evenings, during week commencing 17th November, followed by an opportunity to see the winning AVs at the Drama Studio at Worcester University on Saturday 22nd November 2025 - 10.00 - 17.00 (£15 fee).
