A great deal of planning goes into the Group's field trips but, with the best will in the world, the one thing that cannot be guaranteed is the weather. This was highlighted by the experience of those joining last month's Cromer field trip, as you will see from Barry Freeman's report. I am indebted to committee member Pauline Benbrook for this month's Favourite Place, Epping Forest. There have been very few submissions from the wider membership this month, so there is no Members Images page, so if you have been thinking of submitting please do! I know that quite a few members have found difficulty getting to grips with posting images to the forum. The good news is that we now have a dedicated email address for the newsletter landscapenews@rps.org. I hope this will make it easier for members to contribute to the newsletter. With kind regards Jim Souper Newsletter Editor

Submissions The next newsletter will be out in mid November. The deadline for submissions is Sunday 6th November. For articles, please keep your copy to 500 words or less and include two or three images at least. Feel free to send a brief summary of your idea before committing to the full piece
