A contemporary dining experience
Girls cut the ribbon to the new dining hall with Mrs Reynolds and the catering manager, Graham Lewis
The start of the Summer term marked the inauguration of the Senior School’s newly refurbished dining hall – a long-awaited project that was carried out with the support of the catering company, Holroyd Howe, over the Easter break.
The project aimed to transform the dining experience for students and create a modern and contemporary space for mealtimes and functions for day girls and boarders.
Sallie Taylor, Head of Marketing and Admissions commented, “The improvements to the dining room have really helped the flow and experience of mealtimes – this is an important space within the school, used by staff and students alike, and the refurbishment has been exceptional. With healthy eating playing a crucial role in the wellbeing of students and staff, this refurbishment of the main dining room has been transformative.”
Research shows that promoting a positive dining experience by building a nurturing environment where girls are encouraged to come together to socialise and enjoy their meals is conducive to improved learning outcomes. We hope that through better dining, we have created an environment which our girls look forward to using, helping to promote a positive attitude towards healthy eating and supporting their overarching learning experience at the school.
Green Haven competition
Here are a couple of our entries from the Green Haven competition Mrs Morton ran during Mental Health Week. Girls were asked to send in a photo of their green haven and explain why it was their special place to relax in nature. Competition winners will be announced in June.

Teachers walk 20 miles for charity
A group of teaching staff have raised over £1000 (and counting!) for Julian House, a homeless charity, by participating in the Circuit of Bath, a 20-mile walk across the hilly countryside that surrounds the city. A huge congratulations to Mrs. Hughes, Mrs. Pocock, Mrs. Pagnamenta, Mrs. Ladbury-Webb, Ms. Bolan, Mrs. Cruse, and a big thank you to staff, parents and friends for their generous support.
