Introducing The Jopat Academy San Diego Silhouette Library
This summer, the San Diego Silhouettes embarked on an exciting mission to establish a library in Ghana at the Jopat Academy, cofounded by Silhouette Josephine Portee.
*Phase 1 - Fundraising: ** Silhouette Helen V. Griffith took the lead in organizing our "Double Good Popcorn" fundraising event, successfully raising over $3.5k in contributions Silhouettes Cherlynn and Teresa joined her in a friendly fundraising competition. A heartfelt thank you to all the Silhouettes for your dedication and hard work! The total funds raised through our pop-up shops and donations amounted to $12,442, including funds to Double Good.
*Phase 2 - Construction: ** It was a bustling summer as builders worked diligently, with Silhouette Josephine overseeing the project and sharing uplifting photos with us throughout the process!
*Phase 3 - Books and More...** Stay tuned!
Please continue to share our results with our donors and fundraising heroes. This was possible because of them. We have a video coming from Ghana soon to share as well.
KAPPA GOLF TOURNAMENT
Cheers to the Kappa Golf Charity Event! This year, er eight scholarships to young men in the commun l responses. The Silhouettes sponsored a hole, raising $850 from Bows and Ties and an additional $460 from Handcrafted by Poli Pens. Thanks to Silhouette Jamaye for her generosity and Silhouette Cherlynn for reviving Bows and Ties. Special recognition goes to event chair Silhouette Teresa and all the Silhouette Hustlers in Crimson and Creme!

SILHOUETTES MAKINIG A DIFFERENCE COMMUNITY SERVICE
Making donations is a fantastic way to create a positive change in the world. Every contribution be it money, time, or resources matters and supports those in need. This year, the San Diego Silhouettes came together to take part in both the MS Walk and the NAMI Walk. As a result, we proudly raised and donated a total of $1,345 to these initiatives Lovely faces :) Silhouette Teresa and Silhouette Kristen showing up and showing out! Furthermore, we are excited to share that we also donated $255 to the Raphael House of Portland at the 77th Western Province this year. Congratulations to you all for your caring hearts and love for helping others!
