BETHLEHEM 60 : RUN 4 CHANGE

On the 4th of March 2023, Round Table Bethlehem 60 decided to lodge a project “Run 4 Change” to help and support a local 13-year-old boy, Dian Van Zyl, who was recently diagnosed with BURKITT LYMPHOMA, a rare cancer.

Round Table’s own, AIDAN SHIELDS, decided to run the yearly SURRENDER HILL MARATHON, which is a distance of 42.2km in total.

We decided to get the local community, businesses and some of our overseas table friends involve to support the project. The aim was to donate R20 per/km or alternatively any donation in order to support Dian financially.

As always, everyone took hands and supported our table incredibly well and we managed to raise quite a bit of money for Dian and his parents to cover some of his expenses, which was adding up rapidly.

The whole of Bethlehem 60 as well as the wife’s and 41’s were there to support the great initiative and to support Aidan to reach his goal and make a difference in someone else’s life. We all had an amazing water point where we fellowshipped and supported this amazing project which we attend to every year.

We are proud to be part of Round Table and are incredibly blessed with all the support we receive.
