BETHLEHEM 60 : STICHTING ZIENDEROGEN

From 10 – 24 February 2023 an enthusiastic team from Zienderogen Foundantion worked really hard. During the 4th edition of the project, in cooperation with KOOPMAN OPTIEK, ROUND TABLE BETHLEHEM 60, MASECHABA and MALUTI HOOGLAND SCHOOL, the following occurred:

• 1 198 eye measurements were carried out. In total, 263 glasses were fitted, 220 ready-made reading glasses were distributed to the community as well as 55 sunglasses that was handed out.

• It was very special to see that several children and adults were still happily wearing the glasses they had received during previous year’s projects.

• Despite the fact some of the frames had clearly become too small or the glasses were fastened together with glue and tape.

• What we offered the community is something we are very proud of and we hope to have a long-standing relationship with all the above involved parties and to change many more eye impairments and brighten a day a little bit.

• Round Table Bethlehem 60 with ZIENDEROGEN FOUNDATION is now aiming to assist the community to see if any eye surgery can be arranged for some of the community members, for those with little to no eye sight.
