Secunda Warmfees 2023

Secunda 231 has had the privilege of hosting their first Warmfees featuring Martin Bester and band as the main event. As we all know, Warmfees is a massive contribution towards the Winter Knights project and because of this event we were able to make a huge impact to our community with R212 000 in cash donations and 3280 blankets in collection, safe to say the day was a success especially with the help from our fellow tablers at Middleburg 126 and the gents from Bosveld area. To know that we as a community can come together to make a #impactfulchange for those who need it most during these cold winter nights is an honour and makes me proud to be a part of the greatest organization in the world. The event was held at Laerskool Trichardt, majority of the funds will go towards the SAVF Secunda Child and Youth Care Centre as we are also in the works of trying to get them a minibus to ensure there is sufficient transportation for the children. Many of the blankets we have already given out to the orphanages and the homeless, we are planning on giving out the rest to old age homes and to whoever is in dire need of it. We as Secunda 231 is unexplainably grateful for the help and contribution made by the community and other tables as well as the massive donation of R50 000 made by Jacaranda themselves. We are looking forward to next year’s Warmfees and to make it another lekker one.
