East London hosts the 1st CVC Conference of 2023
At the start of June the East London 1 Clubhouse was abuzz with excitement as Border Tablers and guests from out of town gathered for the first Border Area CVC Conference of 2023. This event serves as the 1st quarterly meeting of the 2023/2024 Border Exec. The conference kicked off on Friday with a vibrant social gathering at the East London No.1 Clubhouse. Everyone enjoyed some top tier fellowship around the braai fire and new tablers got to meet old friends for the first time.
The weekend's main event took place on Saturday, bringing together Tablers from all over to engage in thoughtprovoking discussions. Tablers and speakers delivered captivating presentations, sharing their expertise, and shedding light on their respective Tables and portfolios. The meeting encompassed a range of topics, including revolution, leadership, and the future of Table in the Border Area.

While the men participated in the meeting, an equally stimulating experience awaited the ladies. They embarked on a fascinating art class, allowing them to explore their creative side and artistic talents. The ladies enjoyed some cocktails while being led through a painting experience by local artist Mary Dallas resulting in some beautiful aloe masterpieces for them to take home. The Aloe happens to be our Border Area logo!
As the weekend conference drew to a close, participants left with new ideas, expanded networks, and a renewed sense of purpose.
East London No.1 would like to thank all the Tablers and their families who made the trip to visit us on home soil.
