About Us Stamp is a brand that two friends began to put together for a project in second year of university. However due to the effects of the pandemic, we were unable to take it as far as we wanted the first time round, so in the end we labelled it a “concept”.

Coming towards the end of our university study, we felt it was a waste to just leave Stamp in the past, as it was something that we were heavily passionate about. Therefore we came to the conclusion that with the freedom given to us with Major Study, this would be the perfect opportunity to revive Stamp and push it from concept to reality.

As it is time for fashion to take responsibility in the exploitation of our planets resources and our people, all our clothing is made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton and recycled materials and the manufacturers take into consideration the safety and well-being of all the workers in every step of the production process working closely with Fair Wear Foundation.

We print all in-house with water-based inks only, which are free from harmful chemicals, such as, PVC resin, plasticiser, harmful ozone depleting chemicals and aromatic hydrocarbons. The inks are also vegan and GMO free.

To get the perfect print, we had to experiment with different printing techniques, such as pressure applied and angling of the squeegee on the screen.

Due to the ink being water-based, we had to cure the prints afterwards to ensure that the ink was set in the fabric, so it wouldn’t wash out after first use.

This is done by applying a certain amount of heat, we found the best way to achieve this was to iron directly onto the print after it had dried.

Our handmade scented candles are made with soy wax, a natural, sustainable, non-toxic wax which provides a cleaner and longer burn life.

Fragrance oil was used for a long lasting aroma and rich scent. Wooden wicks are used as a more sustainable choice and to enhance a cleaner burn.

Our containers are 100% recycled glass bottles.

Candles are cut and poured in house.

To create the containers for the candles, we used old wine bottles, cutting them in half with a glass cutter and sanded them down until smooth to reduce any risk of injury from the broken glass. We then soaked the wicks in oil prior to inserting them into the vessels, to ensure a more cleaner burn.

Soy wax was melted in a container and a few drops of fragrance oil for a rich, long lasting smell. The wax was then poured into the vessel and left to set for 48 hours.

Our candles are coming soon to Stamp and will be appearing in a future drop with limited stock as 50% of proceeds are going to Beeswax and Ocean charities to help combat the fashion industries impact on the environment.
