WE ARE Stamp comes from the childhood phrase “stamp it”. This is a form of promise that one would make, as if they were to say, ‘seal the deal’.

This was the inspiration that in all drove our brand, as this is what we are metaphorically portray within our brand identity – promise. A promise to which we are giving to consumers, to what the brand stands for, defeating the fast fashion industry.

SUSTAINABILITY FROM HOME A sustainable lifestyle attempts to reduce an individual or society’s use of the Earth resources and personal resources. Making small changes to your life and your household can reduce your carbon footprint massively.

It doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice luxuries, but however means you should be more aware of your environmental impact.

The first small tips to start with, can be anything to drinking tap water (if safe to do so) and turning off lights in your house if your not using the room.

Other small adjustments to help reducing your environmental impact are; • Wearing more layers rather than turning up the heating.

• Turning off appliances if not in use.

• Hanging clothes to dry, rather than using a drier.

• Cycling or walking to work.

• Taking shorter showers.

• Only boiling as much water as you need.

• Using eco-friendly appliances, such as natural cleaning products • Resell and donate unwanted clothing.

There are further ways to improve your personal sustainable living, however may require more effort to an individual.

Investing in double glazing Growing your own fruit & veg.

Getting a water buttress.

Invest in solar panels.

Using LED light bulbs If everyone did at least a few of these things it would change the world massively and reduce the permanent aspects of damage we cause.

Whilst most of us are watching Tiger King on Netflix or baking banana bread, many people are still going to work, like the key workers that are continuing to keep the UK running.

However, unable to go to work, creatives are also struggling with being locked inside, with creative mental blocks being a common trait and the inability to go out reducing inspiration or creative activities such as, photography. However some artists having taken ‘working from home’ to a new level, with Banksy’s impressive lockdown-inspired work done from his own bathroom. It consists of nine rats causing chaos on the walls, in a

humorous display it really shows a comical take that the graffiti artist has taken.

Banksy has also worked from home in a tribute to our key workers, particularly from the NHS in a drawing of a child playing with a toy nurse whilst Superman, Batman, and Spider-Man are left in a bin, this expresses our true real-life superhero’s in such a unnerving time and how we need to appreciate what our key workers are doing.

Other artists have used their time depicting lockdown through their art, considering all galleries or exhibition spaces are closed until further notice, online exhibitions have surfaced and art has created more of an impact than ever before. The British Museums online collection page increased from roughly 2000 visits a day to 175,000, however is now averaging at 75,000 visits per day.

Although this is an unusual yet pivotal time for the art world, evidence suggests it has caught the eye of

many more people as people locked inside look for things to keep them entertained.

With artists like Grayson Perry who launched a Channel 4 Art club to encourage people to get involved in art through the lockdown. Guests are invited by video call into his workshop and helps the viewers to “battle the boredom�.

With all the happenings of modern day technology, thankfully it is easy to stay connected, create art, and support one another.

Amongst all the negativity the world has faced currently, we can see hope in one of the worst periods of time our world has known for global warming and pollution. We are seeing less cars on the road, less air traffic and less human destruction, which has resulted in C02 emissions to be the lowest in years, with a 58% drop in the European Union, in North India the cleaner air has allowed for the Himalayas to be seen by neighbouring villages for the first time in 30 years, satellite images in east china also showed massive drops in N02 levels in early 2020. All these changes to the environment has also brought changes to the wildlife, unusual activity from animals due to the lack of human activity, bringing fish into the clearing canals of Venice, and animals into once crowded cities, like wild boars coming down from the mountains into the very centre of Barcelona.

The positive environmental changes are showing us that in a short amount of 24

time with less human life, the world reverts to natural ways and continues to grow without us, however this pandemic will not last forever, and brings the worry that the human race will revert back to normal. This abnormal transformation has given us the opportunity and inspiration to change our damaging ways and to look after the world in which we co-inhabit with the millions of species. We must join together to embrace sustainable innovation in order to continue the positive affects less human activity has changed nature & allowed it to develop and grown. Fortunately, countries are realising we must not go back to our normal ways of polluting destruction, France has started developing ways to encourage the people to use bikes by making some previously heavily trafficked roads, bike only and offering free bike checks, to make it more affordable.
