FELLOWSHIP MONTH

June's theme, Rotary Fellowship month, marks a meaningful conclusion to every Rotary year. Fellowship stands tall among the core values of Rotary, underscoring the essence of our collective commitment to service. It underscores why we gather in "clubs", fostering a community that collaborates to make a positive impact in the world rather than striving alone.

The fellowship forged among Rotarians and Rotaractors often shapes the most memorable experiences in our journey. It's the collaborative spirit that breathes life into our service projects, allowing us to accomplish more together than we could individually. This spirit of camaraderie is also the cornerstone of numerous Rotary Fellowships.

These are vibrant communities where Rotarians and Rotaractors across the globe unite over shared interests and pursuits, further strengthening the bonds of fellowship.

It's a common sentiment among Rotarians that their initial motivation to join Rotary and Rotaract stems from a desire to "make a difference". However, the reason they choose to stay, more often than not, is due to the enriching fellowship. This powerful sense of community and shared purpose is what continues to fuel our drive to serve.

ISummers in Yerevan are never complete without the annual national wine festival. While being full of wine, food, music and dances, the festival was missing some Rotaract spirit. This year the Rotaract Club of Yerevan decided to take care of it, by inviting Rotaractors and Rotarians from 10 different countries to sip, swirl and explore Armenia.

On top of the wine trip, in the heart of Yerevan, amidst the ancient tradition of winemaking, in its vibrant backdrop, the Rotaract District Awards were coupled with an inspirational transition of leadership.

From Yerevan's vineyards, we toasted to new beginnings. Elen to Sylvi, a Presidency handover that was not just about leadership, but about legacy.

In true Armenian spirit, we mixed the old with the new, creating impact and sipping on inspiration.

Don't forget to handover all the neccessary documents, ideas, passion and guidance to the next team!

Legacy is more than just a handover; it's the powerful connection between past, present, and future. It's about learning from our experiences, cherishing our triumphs, and using our challenges as lessons to innovate better solutions.

As we pass the torch, we hand over not only our accomplishments but also our learnings. It's crucial to remember that while our paths may differ, our destination remains the same - to serve our communities and make a positive impact. The incoming team might have a vision different from ours, and that's okay. It's their turn to shape their legacy, and our role is to support and encourage their journey.

Because at the end of the day, it's not about who leads the way but about how far we've come together.

ROTARACT TRIPOLI EL MINA

Rotaract Tripoli El Mina organized a fundraising fashion show in the biggest fashion exhibition that took place at Lamunia Hotel on the 3rd of June. The fashion show entailed models that volunteered to walk the runway after a casting process and sponsors that made this event possible. 1,300 people attended the fashion show where all proceeds of the show went to fund treatment for kids with speaking disabilities and epilepsy as we believe kids are tomorrow’s generation and the future. The El Mina team has exerted full efforts and executed the project over the course of a two month planning to have a great turnout.

ACROSS THE DISTRICT

Dear Rotaractors,

We have exciting news to share. Rotary is set to participate in the forthcoming COP28, the pivotal international conference on climate change, which will take place in Dubai. This significant event brings together leaders, policymakers, and activists from around the world to discuss solutions to the most pressing environmental issues of our time.

As members of the Rotaract community, we are uniquely positioned to contribute to these conversations and actions. We believe our commitment to service, along with our global presence and influence, can be instrumental in advocating for and implementing meaningful changes.

This is a clarion call for all Rotaractors who are passionate about environmental sustainability and the urgent task of combating climate change. Your engagement and support are not just welcome – they are needed. If these issues resonate with you, we urge you to join us in our efforts. In the coming weeks, we will share more details about how you can get involved, contribute to the discussions, and support our participation in COP28. This is an opportunity for us, as Rotaractors, to demonstrate our commitment to global sustainability, and we are excited to embark on this journey with you.
