AsweembarkonthisNewRotaryYear,Iwantedtotakea momenttoreflectonthepowerofactionanditstremendous potentialforcreatingmeaningfulimpactEachyearbrings withitafreshcanvasonwhichwecanpaintourvisions, aspirations,andgoals.Itisuptoustoseizetheopportunities thatlieaheadandturnthemintotransformativeactionsthat shapetheworldaroundusItisatimeforfreshbeginnings, renewedenergy,andendlesspossibilities.Iwanttotakea momenttosharewithyouthethemethatwillguideus throughoutthisjourney:IMPACTION;wheretheimpactis youraction.

MyRotaryjourneybeganwhenIjoinedRotaract,the youthbranchofRotaryInternational AsaRotaractor, Iwasexposedtothetruemeaningofserviceaboveself andwitnessedthepositiveimpactthatRotaryclubs haveontheircommunities.Iactivelyparticipatedin variousprojects,developedleadershipskills,and connectedwithlike-mindedindividualswhosharedmy passionformakingadifference.
OneofthesignificantchallengesIfacedduringmy journeywasovercomingself-doubt Asayoungleader,I oftenquestionedmyabilitiesandwonderedifIwas capableoftakingongreaterresponsibilities.However, throughthesupportandmentorshipoffellow Rotarians,Igraduallygainedconfidenceandlearnedto trustmyinstincts.Surroundingyourselfwitha supportivenetworkisvitaltoovercomingsuchhurdles.
Youthengagementiscrucialforthecontinuedsuccess andrelevanceofRotary.Youngpeoplepossessfresh perspectives,innovativeideas,andboundlessenergy. Theybringauniquedynamismtoourorganization, invigoratinguswiththeirpassionandenthusiasm.By activelyinvolvingyoungleadersindecision-making processes,wecantapintotheircreativity,leveragetheir tech-savviness,andensureasustainablefuture forRotary

Itisalsoessentialtorecognizethediversecontributions thatyoungpeoplecanmakeinshapingabrighter future.Whetherit'sthroughcommunityservice projects,advocatingforsocialcauses,orspearheading fundraisinginitiatives,youngleadershavethepowerto effectmeaningfulchange.Theirenergyand determinationinspireothers,ignitingarippleeffect thatpositivelyimpactsourcommunities.
Tofellowaspiringyoungleaders,Iofferthefollowing advice:
1.Embraceopportunitiesforpersonalandprofessional development:Seekout trainingprograms,workshops,andleadershipseminars thatcanenhanceyourskills andbroadenyourknowledgebase.Continuouslystrive forself-improvement.
2.Buildastrongsupportsystem:Surroundyourself withmentors,peers,androlemodelswhocanguideand inspireyou.Theirwisdomandexperiencewillbe invaluableinyourjourney.
3.Stepoutofyourcomfortzone:Don'tbeafraidto takeonnewchallengesorassumeleadershiproles. Growthoccurswhenwepushourselvesbeyondwhatis familiarandcomfortable.
4.Collaborateandnetwork:Engagewithlike-minded individuals,bothwithinandoutsideofRotary. Collaborativepartnershipsenableustoachievemore significantimpactandlearnfromdiverseperspectives.
5.Persistthroughsetbacks:Understandthatsetbacks andobstaclesareapartofanyleadershipjourney.Learn fromthem,adapt,andkeepmovingforwardwith resilienceanddetermination.
As I reflect on my journey from Rotaract to Rotary DistrictGovernor,Iamreminded oftheimmensepotentialthatlieswithintheheartsand mindsofyoungleaders.Let us continue to champion youth engagement, support theiraspirations,andcreatean inclusiveenvironmentwheretheycanthrive. Together, we can shape a brighter future, one that is builtonthecollectiveeffortsof both seasoned Rotarians and the emerging leaders of tomorrow.

First and foremost, I would like to congratulate the District Rotaract Representative, Melia Haddad, the district team, and each and every Rotaractor for RY 2023–24
My journey with Rotaract began five years ago with the Rotaract Club of Amman Ammon. I had the chance to be a chartering president and serve at different leadership levels in my club, and as stressful and challenging as it was, it was one of the most rewarding experiences I've ever had
I have grown to see how even the smallest actions can make a big difference Little things like a single act of kindness can have a ripple effect that touches many others, both directly and indirectly. Rotaract taught me how to find joy in everything I do, the importance and impact of us as individuals, and most importantly, the collective effect we all have when we work together. Here comes the theme of this year, "Impaction: where the impact is your action", and I couldn't agree more.
As we embark on a new year of service, I'm excited to see what this year holds, and I'm honored to experience Rotaract a bit differently this year, being a part of the amazing District 2452 team as a Creative and Magazine Editor in Chief
