‘Governors and senior leaders work well together to promote the effectiveness of the school.’

Rosemead Preparatory School and Nursery underwent an inspection by ISI (the Independent Schools Inspectorate) at the end of November 2023. The inspection team garnered a thorough understanding of Rosemead’s strengths. The ISI Inspection Framework, initiated in September 2023, focuses on compliance with independent school standards and the evaluation of education quality, emphasising academic achievements and personal development.
This year, ISI introduced the concept of a ‘significant strength,’ an accolade highlighting standout aspects of a school. We are proud to announce Rosemead’s recognition for its remarkable progress in pupil achievement and academic achievement, particularly noteworthy in the realm of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). This acknowledgment underscores our commitment to fostering a challenging yet inclusive environment.

Our curriculum at Rosemead is designed to uphold high academic standards while embracing a crosscurricular approach. We prioritise personalised learning pathways, underpinned by AI and technology, starting from Year 4 and continuing through Years 5, and 6. Each child receives a Chromebook to use as a 1:1 device, facilitating tailored learning experiences and promoting individual growth.
Furthermore, we take pride in our excellence across sports, art, drama, and music, all while maintaining a strong focus on academic potential. We encourage you to explore the full report on our website for a comprehensive understanding of Rosemead’s achievements. This recognition from ISI is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our entire school community.
Best wishes

Ihope this booklet provides you with a glimpse into the enriching experience of being a part of Rosemead and showcases the remarkable accomplishments of our students and staff. While it offers a taste of daily life here, I highly recommend exploring the full report on our website at rosemeadprep.org.uk for a comprehensive overview of a Rosemead education.
Continuous improvement is integral to our ethos. Amidst the commendations, you’ll find one recommendation for future enhancements outlined in the report. Rest assured, plans were already underway to address these areas during the inspection. Two months later, as of the report’s publication, our leadership team has responded proactively. We’ve initiated significant changes to our tracking of PSHE and are looking forward to bringing in a new element of this to our curriculum called MyHappyMind from September.
Even with a thorough reading of the entire document, you’ll only scratch the surface of life at Rosemead. Much of what makes our school and community exceptional is the culture, dynamism, and warmth exhibited by our students and staff every day. I invite you to visit us and witness firsthand all that Rosemead has to offer. I eagerly anticipate welcoming you to Rosemead soon.
