The Town Hall/Special Election will be held Saturday, November 9th at Oak Terrace - 9 AM. Please make sure to complete and return your ballot to the POA office no later than Friday, November 8 at noon.

The Board of Directors is seeking volunteers for the Nominating Committee for the 2020 election. The Nominating Committee will interview and submit the names of the nominees to the Board of Directors prior to the mailing of the annual meeting notice. If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Crystal Higginbotham at crystal@rosehillpoa.com or 843-757-2450 by December 30, 2019.

In 2020 there will be three (3) vacant positions on the board. The newly elected directors will serve three (3) year terms.

Anyone interested in serving as a director should obtain a Board of Director interest form from the POA office, complete the form and return it to the General Manager by Friday, January 17, 2020.

Those interested in becoming a candidate for election to the board are interviewed by the Nominating Committee. This committee consists of four (4) property owners with one (1) acting as Chairman. A retiring board member serves as a non-voting member and adviser to the committee.

If you are a registered voter in Beaufort County assigned to Rose Hill Precinct you can cast your vote at Colleton Point Pavilion on November 5, 2019 from 7 AM-7 PM. This year the County Board of Elections will be introducing a new voting process. This upcoming election will be on the School Bond Referendum.

His memoir is frank, humorous, touching, and reveals a friendship that endured because of the love of two friends for each other. The event begins with lunch at noon, with a seasonal menu of turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, apple crisp, and soft drinks; features author Bernie Schein; and concludes with a book signing.

Senator Tom Davis will hold a public forum on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at Fat Patties Restaurant in Bluffton, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. In addition to discussing nonpartisan matters of importance to the Lowcountry, Sen. Davis will provide hors d'oeuvres and appetizers, and will also pay for the first $300 of drink orders. There are a couple times a year when there is an increased potential for a negative encounter with a deer.

The first is around late March to early June, when does have fawns in hiding or just at heel. The does are particularly protective of the fawns during this time period, so do not approach any fawns or allow your dogs to do so.

If a fawn is seen without a doe, please, do not assume the fawn is orphaned and needs rescue. The doe is undoubtedly in the area, most likely feeding or just waiting for you to leave the area so she can check back in on her fawn.

The second time to be aware of is around mid-November to mid-January when bucks are in the rut. During this time of year bucks are continually on the move, fighting other bucks and looking for does to breed. They don't even take time to eat during rutting season--the urge to reproduce is overwhelming and not to be interfered with. Please keep yourself and your children a safe distance from the deer. We have received reports from concerned residents regarding young children chasing after deer in the parks. This can be extremely dangerous and possibly even fatal. Deer are best when admired from a safe distance. Thank you for respecting our wildlife. Stay safe!
