Berkeley Homes enlisted the help of Roomservice by CORT at Taplow Riverside to supply stylish furnishings that allowed them to dress a series of individual apartments, greatly enhancing their marketing for the development.

When a prospective purchaser views a new development, it takes some imagination to visualise how the empty space could become their dream home. This is the crucial moment where first impressions really do count and a furnished property makes much more impact.

At Taplow Riverside near Maidenhead, Berkeley Homes used Roomservice by CORT’s flexible ‘plot move’ service, providing a cost-effective solution to furnish a whole series of stock apartments.

Dressed apartments were also photographed for brochures and marketing materials, giving potential customers a much better idea of the space.

With the help of Roomservice by CORT’s inhouse designers, Berkeley Homes was able to put together a flexible package of furniture to deck out a (two-bedroom?) apartment.

This came in at less than half the cost of a typical show apartment for the development, making a valuable cost-saving for the developer.

It was also an efficient way of working – Roomservice by CORT can typically deliver within a few days of order, its highly experienced team installing the full staging of the property within just one day.

Not only has furniture rental had in important role at the viewings stage, but dressing apartments also helped enhance Berkeley’s marketing material. It meant they could photograph and video furnished apartments for their brochures and website, giving purchasers a much clearer idea of each property.

Using the plot move service, the same package of furniture was used in multiple apartments, allowing them to feature several different properties without the expense and hassle of furnishing each one.

Once the first unit was photographed or sold, Roomservice’s crew moved the furniture into the next property, adjusting elements of the furniture if needed, and the stylists redressed it to make sure it was looking perfect.
