free shuttle service is one of the new innovations for the tenth edition of “PAtaPA” in Los Realejos until December 1st.

This is being operated on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8pm to 10.30pm following an agreement

between the local council and the taxi association. It means people can enjoy the wine as well as the food without

breaching any driving rules. The free transportation offers specific stops in plaza de Las Flores de San Agustín, plaza de La Unión de Realejo Alto and the areas around the 22 participating restaurants. Another new idea is the ability to vote for your favourite dish via smartphone devices, accessible by reading a QR code or with the direct link www.patapa.es. Here, you can also post pictures and reviews. Details of the tapas route were announced at Tasca Channo which won the prize last year as the public’s favourite. The Mayor, Manuel Domínguez was joined by councillor for the area, Isabel Socorro and head of the local business association (ASEMCO), Juan Carlos Velázquez. All the dishes offered are 2.50 euros to include a glass

of wine and the public can vote for the best. A panel of judges will select their choices of the best traditional cover and the most innovative. Those who vote also stand to win prizes, such as a break for two on the mainland, a weekend in Tacoronte, wine tasting courses and lunches and dinners. All those who choose to do so through computer stand to win a trip for two to La Gomera. The Mayor said he hoped people would make a point of enjoying the tapas route as it offered a triple attraction – good tapas, the best wines and a chance to win a prize. A “spectacle for the senses” takes to the stage of the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on November 29 th and 30th

A

LQUIMIA” is a spectacular show which fuses music, aromas and 3D sounds, thanks to creator Daniel Negrin who is an artist as well as a musician. It has been described as “an amazing musical sensory experience which will not leave anyone indifferent”. On stage will be the main band with Daniel on vocals, guitar, ethnic instruments and percussion. He is joined by Rafael Santana on keyboards, Carmen Ojeda on flutes, César Martel on trumpets and

flugelhorn and Sergey Sapr ychev on percussion and Indian tablas. Daniel’s original compositions are the product of a fusion of different styles such as Brazilian music, Latin, Jewish, Indian, African and a touch of jazz. The lyrics are about nature, transformation, happiness, spirituality, feelings and relationships.

The show is unique because the musicians recreate and evoke the sounds and aromas of nature, using specially improvised instruments for bird songs, the sounds of crickets and so on. At the same time, the players mingle with the audience whilst they play so it comes over as 3D. The aromas are created by diffusers which emit five different scents, having been created by artist and performer, Suso Cabrera.

Tickets for this concert are available from Monday to Friday at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium box office, the Teatro Pérez Galdós or before the shows as well as on www.auditorioalfredokraus.com and www.entradas.com, phoning 902 488 488, or through the ATM Bankia network.
