Today, the RPO honors Eastman's legacy by continuing to provide extraordinary musical experiences to audiences across the Rochester area, and education programs that impact the future of our youth.

Live performances, both in the concert hall and at other venues throughout our community, create an unparalleled experience of joy and inspiration for audience members.
Research has found that people who regularly attend concerts experience higher levels of happiness, and may even live longer.
Music also has a significant impact on youth. Studies show that students who participate in music score higher on exams and assessments, and schools with music programs report higher attendance and graduation rates than those without. For our RPO musicians, these are major reasons why they’ve dedicated their lives to music: they know that music inspires in a way that nothing else can.
For nearly a century, the RPO has brought joy to audiences and encouraged our youth through music—with your help, we will continue to inspire, engage, and educate future generations.
Members of the RPO George Eastman Legacy Society are true believers in the power of music. As lifelong arts supporters, they know the inspirational power of music firsthand—and they know the impact it can have on a person's life. To ensure that impression continues, this generous group of individuals has pledged to support the RPO's mission to inspire, educate and engage through music with a planned gift. The RPO George Eastman Legacy Society honors those individuals who remember the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra through a planned gift. Many of these people support the Orchestra annually and want to ensure that it continues to inspire and enrich our community beyond their life spans.
