Danish design. Italian attitude.

Roccamore shoes are designed by the Danish designer Frederikke Antonie Schmidt.

After graduating from the prestigious design school Polimoda, Frederikke worked for several luxury brands before returning to Copenhagen, where she developed her unique insole and started her own label.

Roccamore heels have been validated by scientific research to relieve 26% of pressure from your forefoot, as well as 44% from your foot’s arch while walking.

SCIENTIFICALLY VALIDATED

Our insole was invented by Frederikke Antonie Schmidt, a Danish shoe designer, who was very frustrated with always having to choose between comfort and design.

Together with an orthopedic shoemaker, she decided to design and develop an insole that would shape the foot to walk as anatomically correct as possible in high heels.

And so, roccamore was born.

Roccamore shoes are built with support in the arch and a small pad that presses up under the forefoot, so that there is a larger contact area under the entire foot. In this way, you distribute your weight and relieve the pressure on, for example, the forefoot

HANDMADE IN ITALY

Like the rest of the components, the insole is handmade with the overall priority of ensuring that all roccamore shoes reach our acclaimed level of comfort.

Our models have either a textile or a leather insole. Each has its benefits and reasons why we chose to produce a particular model with it.

OUR FACTORIES

All our designs are based on our customers’ wishes and feedback. When the design is in place, it is sent to our factory in the Tuscany area. Each pair takes three months to make – through 22 steps they pass through the hands of a total of 17 different shoemakers before ending up at your home.

We have chosen our partners’ factories based on their attempts to choose techniques and processes that reduce their footprint. There is a focus on quality, passion and know-how so that the shoes last as long as possible.

CAMPAIGNS IN NORWAY

We get inspired by women with special stories, who dare to stand up for who they are and celebrate it unapologetically, who carry a little bit of a rebel inside them. And in turn, we hope to inspire more women to do the same.

With our #RoccamoreRebel campaigns we celebrate those who are not afraid to stand strong in the world, while with our #RespectHighHeels campaigns we focus on modern equality and the issues we believe make a difference.

#SHOWSOMERESPECT campaign

One in four women regularly experiences sexist comments at work. And just as many find their authority is rejected solely because of their gender. And all too often, women subject other women to prejudiced and sexist comments.

We are writing 8 March 2023, yet far too many women are spoken to as if we lived in 1923.

Even strong and successful women like Maria Mena and Angelica experience stupid and sexist comments from men and women.

Together with ALT for Damerne, we are now fighting against the many prejudices and stereotypes women face daily at work and in their private lives. We’re not just talking about the directly sexual and lewd remarks, but just as much about the many condescending questions and comments, women of all ages are exposed to.

Let’s celebrate International Women’s Day by showing each other respect and sisterhood.

I WEAR WHATEVER MAKES ME COMFORTABLE

Anita Krohn Traaseth is a thought leader who is not afraid to go against the flow. It’s her signature. She feels comfortable fighting for what she believes in.

“I feel stronger when I don’t give up or give in when things are difficult. It builds character. To me, ‘action’ is the keyword. Don’t just think about it. Do it. Make your own choices and you will see that your drive and energy can encourage others.”

17

I WEAR WHATEVER MAKES ME COMFORTABLE

“To me, a rebel is someone who dares to define and follow her path. Someone who doesn’t care what other people think or say about her”.

#RoccamoreRebel Isabelle Ringnes is an entrepreneurial fighter who helps girls and women be comfortable working in the tech industry.

She founded Equality Check to help businesses to create more inclusive organizational cultures. Not just because it’s the right thing to do. But because it’s good for business.

Isabelle is a true rebel, reminding us to stand up for what we believe in and go out and make a difference.

RESPECT HIGH HEELS IN THE BOARDROOM

Everything depends on the eye of the beholder. “When I was Managing Director of Hewlett-Packard Norway, I was the first female top manager in the Nordic countries. My youngest daughter was three and a half years old, and we were rushing to get out of the door that morning. I had to meet the Managing Director of Hewlett-Packard Europe. I turn to my daughter and say - we have to hurry cause mum has to meet Hans, her boss. She stopped what she was doing and said - mum, can boys become bosses? The only boss she knew was me her mother, so she assumed it was a job just for girls.”

Our Norwegian #RoccamoreRebel Anita Krohn Traaseth teaches us that everything is about perspective. Do you agree?

19

WHAT I WEAR IS MY BUSINESS

When Anita Krohn Traaseth fronted our #RespectHighHeels campaign for more diversity, people had many opinions, including what she was wearing. Many even questioned why she was pushing gender equality in a shoe commercial. But that didn’t bother her.

Anita is a #RoccamoreRebel, and we are proud to have her as the face of our campaign. For shoes. And for diversity .
