Profusion Bio-fuel Algae Moisture is nature’s way of saying, “forget about foreign oil”. Growing Algae from a photo bioreactor is technology’s way of amplifying nature. AlgaeLink, Algae Growing Systems of The Netherlands has collaborated with our US firm to grow roots in our soil. Our mission in business geographically is to reproduce Algae strands suitable for extracting bio-diesel. We can and must change the future. The future is in the state of the art algae bioreactors we sell to an economy of eco-conscious businesses and individuals. Profusion’s passion is eco friendly future fuel for this world’s natural growth and development. The ‘Green Gold’ rush is on and evident in our philosophy “To be green is everything”. How well we do as a company depends on how many individuals and companies want to change the negative impacts on our environment. We all have an obligation to repay Mother Nature for our misdeeds against her. Profusions Team should be multifunctional, with representation from a core group of functional areas, such as finance, retail, marketing, public relations, bioengineering, and research. Other areas may be included, but only when their expertise is required. The team must have a sense of identity and pride, as well as clearly defined goals, a detailed project plan created within the guidelines of the organization, and the required skills present on the team. No matter what form it takes, the development of our new products and services will continue to be a vital part of our organizational culture. Continuous improvement in terms of understanding the related process and making strides to develop true efficiencies is essential for our success and survival. Strategic benefits can be realized when employee ownership is combined with the development of an

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 1 "Ownership Culture" within Profusion’s organization. When a company has an ownership culture, employees take increased responsibility for the company's success and the company benefits. The ownership culture will result in commitment of the employee owners by including their ideas and perspectives in operational decision-making. Profusion defines customer service in six key elements to our business, as each occupation closely portrays direct involvement with our target market. The emphasis of all six of these areas is vital to maintaining long lasting, healthy relationships with our customers. The following depicts the responsibilities of each team member and guidelines how they will remain in a customer focused mentality. Finance requires hands-on tactics with broadened appeal to the concerns of each customer more than any other area of service. Effective communication skills of the financial department and the ability to maintain CMS (Customer Management Software) database is essential in dealing with day-to-day customer inquiries. The finance department should be able to identify and define the elements of every sale by determining these factors. Factors to consider for mass production of Algae for Bio-diesel: Topography – Is the land suitable for placement of the desired Algae Bioreactor? Altitude – Does algae grow naturally in the customer’s climate? Sunlight – The correct conditions for ample sunlight in the region also apply to altitude. Energy – Is there electricity to supply the proper voltages to the control unit and required internet capable computer? Retail is the quintessential roll of our customer service experience. Excellent communication skills with a broadened emphasis on prequalifying each customer for the sale

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 2 are critical to the success and closure of the sale. The inability to say or hear the word “No”, however, assertive in a comfortable non-ambiguous manner is ideal. Each retail personnel will follow-up with the customer prior to completion of the installation, after the closure of the sale, and to the satisfaction of the customer. Marketing in a traditional sense means to market our company’s products and services to promote the sale of the products and the growth of the company. Profusion is reversing this logic to refrain from marketing in the public. In a manner that will ensure Profusion’s evolution in the industry, our customers will be the representation and motivation that drives its success. The obligation of the marketing department is to ensure the success of our brand through the eyes of the consumer. Here is one example to this situational marketing practice. “Customer A” (to be determined) mass-produces Asphalt by means of mining the minerals and resources necessary to develop highways and road systems. “Customer A” sells his Asphalt to contractors and city engineers who sub-contract the delivery method of the Asphalt to its final destination. The subcontractor, who is an average citizen, pays a premium at the fill-up station when he pumps standard diesel into his rig. The “Customer A” recognizes that this subcontractor has an enormous expense with the growing costs of diesel fuel and wants to capitalize on a bio-diesel manufacturing facility of its own. On average by selling biodiesel to the subcontractor, “Customer A” can both save money for the subcontractor and earn a profit from the production of this fuel. At the same time, “Customer A” benefits from the Algae production by reducing its emissions costs overall and produces enough fuel to save a substantial amount of money spent on its own fleet. Each time a vehicle is filled with bio-diesel

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 3 grown from Profusion’s bioreactors, the branding of our product becomes embedded into the mind of the individual who is using this product. Public Relations experts are the element of our team who will develop our website with good news about whom our customers are. The PR specialist communicates throughout the community by means of generating journalistic research data to deliver meaningful results to the media. This strengthens the public awareness of how Profusion helps to reduce green house gas emissions, reduce the public’s need for Gasoline, and reduce the dependency for foreign oil. Each Algae bioreactor is equipped with computerized software that sensors and reports the input of emissions during the growth cycle and a PR specialist will know how to analyze this data. Bioengineers have studied organisms throughout their professional and student careers. Without bioengineers, our customers will not be aware of what nutrients are required to maintain and stabilize the growth of healthy Algae for the production of bio-diesel. The bioengineer works hand and hand with each customer to determine the PH levels, nitrate levels, fatty acid content, and probability of oil production. Each customer who has the final goal to mass-produce Algae at the rate of no less than 5kilotons of biomass per year cannot maintain volume without the assistance of a bioengineer. Research analyst provide backup to the bioengineer and to the customer in regards to the data collection process. Working cooperatively with the public relations specialist who collects the data and the bioengineer who assures the efficiency of the data, a research analyst generates reports based on facts driven by the growth of Algae. The responsibility of a research analyst is to determine post biomass production methods of drying the Algae and extracting the

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 4 oil. Wet biomass has a decay period of ten days and without treatment becomes useless without being processed. Research into available dryers, centrifuges, chemical extractors, and oil presses available in the market is a priority due to the numerous available manufacturers involved. Profusion will utilize an online occupational search engine to assemble its team of employees. This is one example of what information will be available to individuals seeking employment in this field. We all have an obligation to repay Mother Nature for our misdeeds against her.

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 5 Corporate Identity – Employee Manual – Time Management Hand Book Profusion, an equal opportunity employer, believes that the brand is one of the most comprehensive and valuable elements of our company. It is the driving force behind our business and continually influences our company. Putting this idea into action is brand strategy. In order to effectively plan and implement a brand strategy, the current state of our business practices uncovers the needs and issues that are unique to our industry and company. It is only by gaining this understanding, and comparing it with our future vision, that the brand strategy can be revealed. In today’s high-paced world, the customer’s attention matters the most. Their threshold of only a few seconds means that the next 5 minutes are crucial to whether or not they make any decisions. The visual aspects of Profusion’s image in terms of attire outlined as follows. Green is everything to the image of what the wardrobe will consist of. The coordination of formal and informal attire suggest a message of “GO” or “Yes” that expresses the attitude and can do mentality of our employees. The lower portion or the attire can be Khaki or Royal blue as long as it matches the logo imprinted on the shirt or conforms to a stylish appeal. Our complete professional look requires conformity to etiquette with shirt tucked in, belt at proper fit, socks of matching color, and shoes that are not worn or tattered. Button down or Polo style shirts are acceptable for office staff and representatives whom are not working in the field. Onsite personnel have a tendency to soil the garments more

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 6 often due in part to the photo bioreactors being outdoors and therefore may wear specially designed T-shirts with the company logo imprinted on them. Each representative working for the company will have a standard issue Blackberry Nextel phone that links to the central server with Corporate Data Access Business Software. The Data Access Software provides communications for e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and other miscellaneous file types. Also included with the phone are 1600 minutes of National Telephone Service and Unlimited use of Internet Connectivity. One Notebook Laptop computer, issued to each representative for use specifically with company related materials. Each laptop is equipped with a blue tooth device that links to the Blackberry phone and provides internet access anywhere you have a signal with the phone. These laptop computers include Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Office 2007 Executive, and Blackberry Mobile Connect software. The laptops, maintained by an in house technician require the use of system monitoring software to prevent misuse and virus infections. The corporate WebEx Intranet will link together with Microsoft Outlook and provide a variety of resources for the employee such as contacts, calendar events, and scheduled tasks. Dealing with stressful issues is inevitable but with the proper communication and the right tools, every situation can become a learning tool. To avoid stressful situations everyone must work together as a team to accomplish the unknown situations that arise. When products break, or customers neglect the equipment, it becomes our responsibility to correct the mistakes by knowing ahead of time what is going on with the equipment. Each photo bioreactor is equipped with system and self-monitoring software. This system monitoring software determines the conditions of the equipment during each cycle and phase of operations. While this software is conducting is processes, the central server evaluates the inconsistencies of nature

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 7 and develops its own knowledge base of frequently assessed conditions. This knowledgebase can and will be translated into comprehensive terms and relative information for the staff to use when dealing with customer problems. Here is an example of what one type of stressful situation may arise and how this situation is resolved. Concern: East Brook Farms of West Virginia has installed a 5-kiloton production unit to raise algae for feedstock for his livestock. During his second month in operations, a cow jumped over a fence and trampled over one of the photo bioreactor tubes. The customer “Mr. Anderson” needs this tube replaced immediately and cannot wait. If Mr. Anderson’s livestock waits very long his 2,000 cattle will go hungry and ruin his field of peanuts. Solution: The main computer located inside the barn at East Brook Farms has issued a class “A” signal warning that indicated there is a problem in one of the tubes of the bioreactor. A replacement tube is available in a warehouse in Delaware and can be ready on site within two business days. The server has issued a message via the Black Berry Data Manager to one of three on duty field engineers and has assessed the problem by using the knowledge base. Technical manuals, replacement procedures, and directions to the location are included with the dispatch along with an urgent task assignment. The technician will arrive within the same time as the tube and will have the materials required to replace the tube as necessary. Customer Situational Solution: Mr. Anderson is anxious about having this tube replaced and is becoming impatient. His anger and frustration fume as he has been down for 48 hours without feedstock for his cattle. At the corporate headquarters of Profusion, our well-informed customer service representative takes his phone call and can sense his annoyance right away. Given the resources available within the network of information, the customer service representative will be able to track the progress of this dispatch and aid in comforting Mr.

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 8 Anderson. As a last resort, the customer service representative has authorization to patch the disgruntled customer over to the president of the company for further reassurance. To assist the customer service representatives with their listening skills, each customer service representative will need to gain a personal relationship with each customer prior to dealing with any situation. Knowing ahead of time every detail about what types of equipment, how much investment this customer made, and any other useful personal fact related to the sale of the bioreactor. The customer service representative must deal with the customer as if their job depended on the level of support they receive. This relationship matters most because each customer is in effect the employer of the customer service representative. Profusions customers all take an ownership approach with the equipment and therefore have the right to take an ownership approach with the representatives. As a pre-requisite to employment, each customer service representative will undergo a two-week long course of study that will train him or her on every aspect of the business. This two-week course will give lessons on situations such as Mr. Andersons stampede, and teach them how to handle every type of individual behavioral style. Upon completion of their twoweek, course the customer service representative can identify ahead of time situational deterrents and aid them in dealing with diversity. With the conclusion of every unit sold begins the inclusion of the customer who owns and operates their bioreactor. Training and assistance is ongoing between our staff and the owner/operators. The first two weeks a customer owns a bioreactor is the most critical learning process for both the employees of Profusion and the customer. We need details about everything and so does the customer. We should know the likes and dislikes as well as the complaints and concerns of the customer and our own staff. What makes algae grow? What are the proper

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 9 conditions for growing algae? The answer to these questions is always the same; it varies depending on every circumstance. What type of climate do you have? What kinds of nitrates can you give your algae? All of these questions must be determined during the installation, testing, and development phase of each customer. To completely delight both the customer and our staff we must coordinate together to determine the answer to all of these questions. This coordination takes approximately six months to complete before the customer and bioreactor reach production status. At the console of the bioreactor, a computer with a user interface provides a control panel view of the operations center. At this console, the customer can evaluate the details of the growth and production of the algae as well as determine levels of nitrates, carbon dioxide, oxygen, and many other details. The customer will become familiar with this console quickly because the whole process is Kinetic and easy to use. Based on results from other bioreactors and data from the central server, the customer can evaluate his algae’s performance and grade it according to the national scale. This grade can help the customer determine how well his algae is growing as well as what more needs to be done in order to achieve maximum sustainable growth. During the six month, coordination phase the customer begins to rely on the customer service representative that is training and maintaining the system from the corporate headquarters. To better assist with the development of this customer there is a face-to-face approach generated by means of a video camera installed at the console. The customer has constant visual communications with the representative and can ask questions, become friends, or ventilate frustrations with them. This face-to-face approach will assist in a better understanding of what the customer wants and needs while at the same time, builds confidence in

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 10 the customer. This can also assist in the management of customer expectations because there is always a familiar face to help with problems as they arise. Algae are a plant that lives and thrives in the same way human beings do. During the peak hours of operation, 7AM to 7PM the algae doubles its mass and volume. Customer services representative have an obligation to attend the company during these hours but in shifts. The first shift is the most important because this is the feeding and nourishment time for the algae. The first shift begins when the sun rises and ends when the nutrition ends. The cycle of nutrition varies in each location but is roughly the same for each species, three hours. After the initial three hours, the representative has an opportunity to either stay at work or leave for three hours. If the representative chooses to stay for the next three hours, then they must leave after that for the start of the second shift for three hours. Second shift consists of the opposite cycle as the first shift, being that the end of the day begins the extraction cycle. Extracting biomass can take up to three hours and will conclude at 7PM by the end of the day. Here is a time line example of the shift process for the daily routines. |-- 7:00AM – 10:00AM --| + |-- 10:00AM – 1:00PM --| ~ |-- 1:00PM – 4:00PM --| + |-- 4:00PM – 7:00PM --|

This time schedule gives three-hour intervals to the daily routine and gives each employee nine hours a day to work with flexibility. During the start and the finish of the day is the most important time to conduct business and therefore the center of the day will lead to development of new customers and communications with them. The employee must choose their schedule ahead of time on a weekly basis and have this schedule turned in to the WebEx Intranet site one week in advance. At the end of each three-hour block, the employee may take a 15-minute break that does not count against the pay period. The reason for this time of working during the week is because there will arise a customer who will want and need to have attention during off office hours. This is where

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 11 Profusion draws a distinct line and says “NO to the customer. Because of the extended workday and the length of hours spent at the helm of the operation center, the customer service representatives will begin to feel as though the job is their life. At Profusion, we would like to commit as much time as possible to the satisfaction of our customers, as it reflects the quality of our products. This however, met with an understanding that we all are human, is why each employee has a three-day weekend, instead of a two-day weekend. Working Monday through Thursday, nine hours a day is the equivalent to thirty-six hours in a typical workweek. Whatever the limits of this practice may be, there is enough time during a nine-hour workday to accomplish every task and give complete satisfaction to every customer we may receive.

Customer Loyalty and Service Break Downs Customer Loyalty is natural with our plan of action. Each customer remains very closely assisted due to the data that the photo bioreactor produces. This data is beneficial to both the consumer and the distributor. Data represents success, failures, and it can determine the future of Algae production for higher performance machines. When compared to the money saved on annual bills that this device will replace, the cost of the initial investment into a photo bioreactor is minimal. You can replace the natural gas with gas from algae. You can produce enough algae to supplement or replace the cost of electricity. Some strands of Algae are editable as nutritional supplements. Not only can you replace natural gas, but also Algae supplements as a form of automobile fuel. Farmers can use Algae biomass to feed the livestock and fish farms. Research will discover alternatives to the usefulness of Algae so that in the future, you will hear the name Algae, and associate it with good things.

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 12 At times however, there will be service breakdowns. When these break downs occur they will be in result to negligence and/or disrespect. The staff maintains each bioreactor closely, monitoring for inconsistencies in the growth process. The staff is human and is subject to error. They can and probably will over look minor details that will contaminate the Algae in the bioreactor. Alternately, there will be leaks in the pipe, climate conditions, and strong weather to contend, making the need for elevated customer service even more important. Strategies for preventing service breakdowns include but are not limited to the following. At system installation time, every part passes inspection before and during the installment. Routine spot checks once a week for six months must be preformed to keep the system healthy and clean. Each team member must rotate his or her inspections for the term of six month with the other members of the team. After the final inspection, a chief engineer will conduct a thorough cleaning of the tubes and containment chamber. For the remainder of the next six months spot check will occur twice every month, or on demand, as indicated by the console software. Preventing negligence: A review of performance is given to each team leader to evaluate his or her teams overall success. Based on this performance evaluation, each member of the team may have to complete additional training as necessary. This additional training involves key areas of service and support, such as, sales training, market research analysis, research and development, or customer service techniques. Along with these training, each team member and the team leaders must all be further educated on the equipment and software that run the bioreactor. They will each develop their own schematic of the bioreactor from a preformatted software application.

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 13 Software Application for training: Shockwave, Flash, and Visual Basic software uses 3D models of each part to create the virtual bioreactor simulator. Within this application, the team members and team leaders challenge themselves in constructing the device from start to finish. They compete between themselves for the roll of team leader by finishing the program within the least amount of time. The most accurate conclusion and model with least mistakes takes the title. The implementation of competition is friendly but it encourages the team to work together better, by increasing motivation. Conditions for encasing the bioreactor and photosynthesis tubes include. Areas not suitable for natural growing conditions may need to simulate the environment with a green house. As long as the proper amount of sunlight and core temperature remains constant, the algae can accumulate growth. Algae must also have a source of carbon dioxide and minerals in addition to a good source of indirect sun light. Placement of the bioreactor near industrial facilities or in an area that requires emissions reduction is ideal because of the carbon dioxide source emitted. Encasing the bioreactor can also help prevent Mother Nature from damaging the tubes or containment unit. When breakdowns occur, urgency and full understanding into the situation is the key to resolving the dilemma. Completing a need-based assessment of the problem in the company database is required for tracking future similar situations. During the communication of each incident, it may be necessary to tape record and document the details of the breakdown. To do this, a customer service representative may utilize the voice automation system built into the software of the notebook computer. Each Blackberry phone device has a service plan that includes voice mail, internet accessibility, and text messaging. These services can benefit the resolution to the trouble and can provide the means of a flexible communications tool.

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 14 Along with the tools given to each team member, the customer also has their own communication tools, built into the bioreactor main computer. The interface of the computer at the customer’s end has easy to use software that is push button driven. If the computer is not detecting a malfunction and the customer can identify a trouble situation, the customer can alert the team responsible as to what the problem is. Making communication available more readily is one way to reduce breakdowns. Understanding a situation and assessing its needs before trouble happens is the best way to combat the human error factor.

Technology plays a key role in the day-to-day activities of the Profusion routine. Internet – The public accessibility to our company portal combines in the website we have created together as a team. Sections available in the website are the Home Page, Contact Page, About Profusion Page, Frequently Asked Questions, Algae Growing Simulation, Data Series, and Future Products. The cost of a website is minimal, $100.00 per year including domain name and hosting. Here is the effectiveness of a website built with the Joomla Engine determined by the marketing budget for web sales. Roughly, 30,000 visitors per day are possible with this web software. As long as the information process is continual, the search engines and optimization software will drive the consumers to our pages. Intranet – The private, internal organizational communications and collaboration web software. The Intranet, also known as a portal, can reside on the office Domain Controller server. The cost of a server for a small business organization is around $2,000.00 after the software and service agreements are established. With an office Intranet Portal server, employees can communicate with each other, share contacts, distribute documents, post on

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 15 forums, blog, and organize a calendar. This is the most essential tool for the office personnel to use for every day communications. Extranet – The external composition of both Internet and Intranet will combine both to become one database source. The employee and the customer can both benefit from this communication tool because of the variable resources available within. An extranet consists of a Server with Enterprise software, a computer with internet accessibility, and a Virtual Private Network adaptor between the two. The server resides at the office and is independent of the internal network. This server communicates with the computers that attach to the bioreactor and perform synchronizations with data and software. The virtual private network software (VPN) provides access directly into the console for the customer and for the technicians. As the bioreactor produces data, documents success/failure, and interacts with the customer, a log file captures data built with detailed information about every critical process. The server interprets this log file and analyzes it for effective production of Algae. The costs of this cooperation between server and client workstation are about $5,000.00 per server and $750.00 per client computer. Mobile communications command and control is another technology that will assist the daily routine of Profusion. The Blackberry by Sprint offers its own communications software suit that is for enterprise levels. Each Blackberry mobile device connects over the 3G network and connects to sockets of data. The sockets are e-mail server, calendar server, document server, and tasks scheduler. Every operator of the Blackberry mobile phone can and will connect to the server for these services. The cost of operating a Blackberry server is $1,200.00 per year and on average $99.00 per month for service. The monthly service fee includes use of telephone communications so the employee will never be without a phone. The inner office telephone

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 16 system will have a feature to transfer calls directly to the telephone of the customer service representative. In turn, these services will become a measurement of effective communication and will result in better customer service capabilities of our organization. Developing new technologies in bio-fuel production is a future endeavor that Profusion will embark on. As these new technologies become available, the organization will employ these technologies and continue to evolve the effective use of them. For example, a recent breakthrough in technology gives humans the ability to harness brain waves and use them in cooperation with computers. New technologies in development at NeuroSky laboratories named MindSet are an effective use for this type of environment because you could literally control the bioreactor while you are not in front of it. Today with the rising cost of Petroleum Gas, the uncertainty of how long we will be able to depend on it is ever glooming. The future is with algae, in everything we have come to know. Food, paper products, oil based products, fuel, and electricity are some of the ways algae can benefit our society and future societies of the world. Algae do not produce any harmful waste products and it consumes many of the industrial emissions in production today. Algae provide mineral supplements, vitamin supplements, and can replace food one day. To maintain excellent customer service in the future we must continue to evolve the processes and practices of our organizational plan. Profusion must continue to develop new methods of technology so it can find more uses of algae. The roll of the customer service representatives will never change, they will continue to practice close relationships with the customers. In turn, the customers will continue to use our products and find more ways to make our products more useful. This will also benefit the company, as our image will represent

Profusion Bio-fuel Algae 17 everything that algae are growing. We promote for our customers and our success promotes our business by word of mouth. The attitude and aptitude of our company will remain the same, we are harvesting the green gold of the future and want to share the wealth with all of you.
