Bio Summary A Toronto native, Waseem Malleye has worked in investment and asset management for more than a decade. He currently serves as Vice President of International Real Estate USA at global asset management firm, SEDCO Capital.

More Than a Decade of Experience in Investment and Asset Management As a result of his skill and experience in analytical and financial modeling, in addition to his experience in corporate finance and strategic development, Waseem Malleye has created a proven track record of driving positive asset and investment performance. Currently, Waseem Malleye serves as VP of International Real Estate at SEDCO Capital. Headquartered in Jeddah, KSA, SEDCO is the investment arm of the Saudi Economic and Development Holding Co.


At SEDCO, Waseem is responsible for evaluating and executing U.S. commercial real estate investments. He is also responsible for executing SEDCO’s U.S. investment strategy, as well as for leading the management and training of analysts and associates, and coordinating SEDCO’s internal tax, legal and treasury teams and outside advisors. Before joining SEDCO, Waseem was Director of Asset Management for Integrated Asset Management Group in Toronto, Canada. He also served as director of retail asset management for Triovest Realty Advisors, with sole responsibility for managing the real estate portfolio of the Canada Pension Plan Investment Boards (CPPIB). The portfolio consisted of enclosed malls, power centers and grocery-anchored centers. When his work resulted in higher than expected return expectations, he successfully led the disposition of the entire portfolio for $2.1B USD. Waseem Malleye began his career in asset management with RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust, beginning first as an analyst at the organization and working his way up to director of asset management. As director, Waseem managed every facet of a portfolio of 77 properties with a $3.2 billion value, including acquisitions, leasing, operations, construction and development. Notably, he also accomplished an annual average increase of 3.2% in same property Net Operating Income (NOI) over four years, as well as a portfolio average NOI increase of 2.1% over the same period.
