Summer Hey guys! I hope that all of your summers are going well and filled with lots of happy, memorable moments. Remember, ICON (International Convention) is coming up before we know it! Service Projects This month, The Rocky Mountain District Board met up in Estes Park and discussed a number of things: and one being service projects. This year we will be focusing on Kuddlez for Kidz, the Women’s Bean Project, AIDSpirit, and the Thirst Project.
Kuddlez for Kidz The goal is to be sure that every hospitalized child has a stuffie (stuffed animal) or something snuggly to cuddle with when times are tough.
Women’s Bean Project Believes all women have the power to transform their lives through employment. Hires women who have been chronically unemployed and teach them to work by creating nourishing products. They learn to stand tall, find their purpose and end the cycle of poverty.
AIDSpirit A 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing education, life essentials, and clean water for individuals infected with or affected by HIV in the Kayunga District of Uganda.
Thirst Project A nonprofit organization that exists to raise awareness of and bring solutions to the clean water crisis. Works to create radical and sustainable global change, and champion hope and respect for the positive values of life.
