Gretchen Leffler
Visual Studies ’19

What’s your job like?
I started at Laika three years ago as a digital fabricator, modeling parts for 3D printing and integrating them into puppets for the film Wildwood. I also modeled accessories for several of the characters that were printed and then integrated into the puppets. After a year and a half I joined the VFX team, where I work on similar things, but with a different workflow.
What made you want to come to Ringling?

Career Services was the standout for me. They are such a wonderful resource to have and were immensely helpful to me. I joined as a representative and would go to discuss my portfolio and resume often. They really help me in preparing all of my material and getting ready for interviews on campus. I am still in contact with them in my work as a mentor for current Visual Studies students.
