How did Ringling prepare you for your career?

Ringling gave me the opportunity to experience real world projects from the first day. The classroom setting creates an infinite space for creative growth and exploration. I was guided with one-on-one critique by professors with years of industry experience. From four years of developing my creative style and technical knowledge, I was able to start at Nickelodeon straight out of college with the confidence and knowledge of an industry professional.

What’s your job like?

I am a designer/animator working alongside a team of creatives. We collaborate on advertisements for television, Paramount+, social media, and Times Square billboards. The projects are often creatively open-ended, which gives us freedom to explore solutions in our own style and truly express ourselves through design and animation. Together, we build on each other’s ideas, work through technical problems, and come up with colorful, playful solutions that match Nickelodeon’s brand identity.

How did Ringling prepare you for your current career? Photography changes so rapidly. At Ringling, we were encouraged to gain technical skills in digital work spaces, analog photography, and video. Just because of that, I had a huge advantage when I entered the field which is actively redefining itself.
