What’s your job like?

As an environment texture artist, some of my responsibilities, such as shader creation, modeling, sculpting, and set dressing, are all combined to create 3D environments for our games. Team effort and collaboration with several departments is necessary to create those environments. All of this provides the opportunity to share stories through characters and the worlds around them.

How did Ringling prepare you for your career?

While Ringling facilitated several technical courses, the faculty pushed for, not only, quality in our craft, but also big picture thinking and for the widening of the application of our skills. Above the courses, projects, and late nights in the studios, I would not be where I am without Career Services. Being a student worker for four years put me in an environment to learn from the job. Even now I can’t advocate enough for them and what they do.
