Apply fundamental traditions of design as you build a synergetic series in a watercolor sketchbook while capturing simple gestures with loose pen+ink+watercolor washes. Your individual style and “story” will emerge as the series unfolds. Course is best suited for the intermediate or advanced water colorist ready to stretch creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills!

Have some fun learning to transform your two-dimensional sketch into a fuzzy, felted sculpture. Students will sketch an initial concept for reference and learn the process of felting while building the elements of their personal sculpture. Each element of the sculpture is felted or “built,” and elements and embellishments are added to create your unique masterpiece. No sewing, only felting.
