At rickard.design, it’s nice to keep things simple, transparent & clear. Simply choose a package & we can get started on transforming the space. Interior design, decoration & styling can be confusing - so what is this scope of work? I can also provide colour consultations & even select fixtures and finishings (lighting, tapware, hardware, backsplash, cabinetry, flooring etc) but any trades that are required will be up to you to source. I’m more than happy to collaborate with your trades once you’ve engaged them.
Assistance ranges from concept & material board creation through to the compilation & execution of a full design brief.

This package is for you if you need some help
bringing one room together. Maybe you’re not quite sure how to tie your favourite pieces in with the style you love; whatever your reason, I can create a room you’ll love to be in.
.two rooms
If you’re wanting to bring a cohesive look and feel to your home, but don’t need everything done - this is for you. If you live in a one or two bedroom space, this is a great option.
.entire space
If you want everything taken care of. I can design a space that is not only beautiful, but functions well for everyone using it.

If you’ve got a holiday house on the coast, or a city property for short term rentals, I can help maximise your profit & ensure a booked calendar with professional decoration & styling. With this package, you’ll get floor layout plans, a curated mood board, complete shopping list & styling guide. In-person consultations are available at an additional cost dependant on location.

.project start
After booking an in-person consultation, I’ll visit your home & get a feel for the space & what your vision is for your home. We’ll have an in-depth chat to communicate lots of ideas so I get to know you & your project while you learn about working with rickard.design. I love incorporating your existing furniture into the design. So if you have particular pieces that you love, they stay! After our consultation, if you decide to go ahead with my services, I’ll send you a contract to sign which covers off on all the legalities as well as my costs & payment options. Once the contracts are signed, I’ll send you a link to a shared Pinterest board so you can show me what you like, and maybe more importantly, what you don’t.
.conceptual design
You’ll be presented with well developed ideas for your space. There will be a floor layout plan, & I’ll curate a mood/sample board that reflects your style & budget. We can revise as many times as needed to create the perfect space. I can provide colour consultations & even select fixtures & finishings (lighting, tapware, hardware, backsplash, flooring etc) any trades required will be up to you to source.

.furnishings selection & ordering
Once the board is complete, I’ll send you a complete shopping list so you know everything fits in your budget. You can then either buy everything yourself, or give me the go ahead to start ordering. Delivery coordination can be tricky - we’ll work together to come up with a solution that works best for you.
.installation & final touches
I’ve ordered all the furnishings & everything has arrived. Now it’s time to install the furniture & style the décor with finishing touches. The project is now complete & the space ready to hand back to you.
.pricing & rates
Each project at rickard.design has a fee structure appropriate to its particular scope of work. Design package fees are outlined up front, whereas setup & styling fees are billed hourly. Where necessary, my hourly rate is £50. But I’ll give you an upfront quote so you know exactly what to expect.
