A Message from the Hewlett-Woodmere
Business AssociATion Dear Residents:
T
he HewlettWoodmere Business Association was formed to bring together merchants and professionals conducting business in the hamlets of Hewlett and Woodmere, including North Woodmere, served by School District 14. Hewlett-Woodmere David Friedman Business Association members support programs throughout the school district, local organizations and civic associations. We aim to foster awareness from adjoining communities as to our merchandise, activities and services offered in the two villages. The HWBA gives our members daily social media advertising posts. We do ribbon cuttings for new businesses. We enjoy the support of Town Councilman Anthony D’Esposito, County Legislators Howard Kopel & Denise Ford, County Executive Laura Curran, Town Supervisor Donald Clavin, State
Sen. Todd Kaminsky and State Assembywoman Melissa Miller. It is these public officials and our residents who look to an active business association to make our community a more attractive place to reside. The HWBA is an integral part of the community. We hold Christmas and Hanukkah celebrations and other community events at our Veterans Memorial Plaza. We organize the Memorial Day Parade and sponsor Kids Night Out as well as other activities. Our award-winning school district, excellent library and shopping areas are what help to unite us as a vibrant community. We invite you to eat in our local restaurants, shop our boutiques and use our service businesses to help us remain a strong business hub.
David Friedman
President, Hewlett-Woodmere Business Association
