hrough the coronavius pandemic, life has been difficult for seniors, as many of the activities they take part in are not in service. The Center for Adult Life Enrichment in Hewlett, the Gural JCC, the Hewlett-Woodmere and Peninsula public libraries have kept programs running through Zoom and other virtual offerings. CALE Executive Director Lee Gerardi has also worked hard to keep tabs on the members and keep them informed of the daily programming. The center is headquartered in what was once a carriage house on the Hewlett Estate, offers a wide array of programs, activities and trips for seniors, whose ages range from 60s to 90s.
