A Message from the

ChAMber of CoMMerCe

I

am honored to be elected to serve as president of the Franklin Square Chamber of Commerce, and I am excited to lead our officers and board of directors in our mission to be a great resource for our membership, busines community and residents. I am dedicated to the prosperity of our Lisa DelliPizzi member businesses. We will act as an information and referral service about Franklin Square and its businesses. I plan to increase our membership (we now have 138 members). We are designing a new website, which is exciting news for all our member businesses. The Herald's Living In guide will be published in September and will feature all of our member businesses. Our chamber also works closely with public officials and the community by hosting ribboncutting and grand-opening ceremonies for new businesses. We donate two scholarships per

year to two local high schools. Each year we recognize one Small Businessperson of the Year at a Legislative Breakfast, we host a Business Expo, and we have an annual Getting to Know You and Business Networking Event. As a business owner for 30 years, I have found that consumers believe businesses that are involved in the community, and are members of their local Chamber of Commerce, are trustworthy, connected to the community, listen to their customers and are successful local leaders. Keep your community in business and support your local businesses as often as you can! Call the chamber at (516) 775-0001 if you have any concerns or questions, or you can contact me via text at (516) 319-3647 or email at LDPCEO@hotmail.com.
