Richmond Carvers Society Displays of exquisite hand carved items, plus demonstrations on carving techniques. Information on becoming a member available. Marine Radio Morse code was a prime method of maritime communication for almost a hundred years—learn how to make and send morse code, with radio expert and historian Tom Brent and see his extensive display of old time.
Coracle Making (Zone 3) Learn how to weave a traditional British Coracle—a primitive, single person boat that is woven from local plants, and covered with cotton and a waterproof sealer. This style of watercraft has an ancient history and can be found throughout the UK, in India, Iraq, Vietnam and Tibet. Coracles are believed to be the first ‘wooden boats’.

It takes about 15 to 25 minutes per person—great for adults and older children. John Horton - Marine Artist (Zone 12) An exhibition of prints and watercolours by acclaimed local marine painter John Horton, who will be onsite for you to meet. Kids Boat Building Presented by Fraser Surrey Docks and The Fraser River Industrial Association (Zone 13) Design and build your own unique wooden boat to take home.
