Dec. 14, Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts Mark Cortale’s Broadway @ Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts series showcases some of Broadway’s brightest stars in the center’s Virginia G. Piper Theater. Hosted and directed by pianist and comedian Seth Rudetsky – who also headlines multiple shows on SiriusXM and has played piano for dozens of Broadway shows – these cabaret-style concerts mix popular songs with candid showbiz stories. This month, the series will bring two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster to the stage. As one of Broadway’s most charismatic and popular leading ladies, Foster currently stars in the critically acclaimed TV Land series Younger. Foster has graced the stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center, and she is sure to wow here in Scottsdale with her unmistakable talent and charm. 8 p.m. $59-$89. www.scottsdaleperformingarts.org.

SNOW DAYS Through Jan. 5, 2019, Odysea in the Desert Make new holiday memories with snow days in the outdoor courtyard of Odysea in the Desert, where nearly 200 tons of snow, including falling snow, will afford wintry frolicking. OLD TOWN FARMERS MARKET Ongoing, Downtown Scottsdale Now in its 10th year of operation, this farmers market at 1st Street and Brown Avenue regularly features about 100 local growers and specialty food producers. You’ll find a variety of organic and pesticide-free produce, seasonal specialties such as cider and apples, flowers, meats, eggs, cheese, and an assortment of breads.
