Meanders also notes that the event generally attracts upwards of 3,000 people each year and has raised more than $340,000 for local children’s charities since its inception in 2004. This year’s charity raffle will benefit Banner Children’s; 100 percent of the net proceeds will go toward helping Banner Children’s provide excellent patient care. Some of the restaurants signed on this year include: The Greene House North Italia Alto Ristorante Bourbon Jacks Bar & Grill EVO Orange Sky The Melting Pot Bourbon & Bones Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar The Breakfast Joynt Z’Tejas Ironwood American Kitchen “Other event highlights will include dozens of adult beverage tastings thanks to our partners at Alliance Beverage, Four Peaks and San Tan Brewing as well as two chefs sharing one stage in Iron Chefstyle cooking challenges – mystery ingredient and all – and a live, interactive stage with revolving chefs and demonstrations every half hour,” Meanders says. In addition to the general event and main stage, Phoenix Cooks also gives guests the chance to sign on for intimate classes (limited to just 25 people) being led by food and beverage experts from across the country for a more elevated experience.
