“My art is influenced by the purity and simplicity of childhood; books that I loved as a child, pop culture, and color psychology. I’m a naive artist who paints like my 8year-old self. As a little girl, I dreamed of being a children’s book illustrator, and was always drawing characters and writing stories—to this day, I often include writing and made up characters in my works. My style is a blend of abstract expressionism and neo-pop, and I use mixed mediums, mostly acrylic paint and oil stick. ”

Born in 1971 in Oslo, Norway, Fanny grew up in New York, and currently lives and works in Maine. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Boston with a focus in commercial illustration— her interest in school was to incorporate hand-written typeface with childlike paintings. She has been creating art in secret for most of her life, and only two years ago started sharing her artworks with the public. She has since gained a following of worldwide collectors, and shown her works in New York City and Maine, with upcoming shows at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art and Saint Mason (online).
