“I see art as a form of political empowerment. Artworks can show us the world and the society in its capacity, complexity, and uncertainty, sparing us from trying to find easy solutions for complex challenges.
My artistic work is, on the one hand, a tool for me to explore my surrounding, the world and myself. On the other hand, it is a display to get in contact with others about the big questions it may arouse and to find understanding in each other. I could not give a precise explanation of what I make at the end, since all of my artworks are very individual and distinct: new media works, interactive installations, sculptures and collages—at the end, I reckon, art must be displayed, put up for discussion and exposed to reception, to reach its completeness. As an artist and art educator at the same time, I try to explore the interfaces in between my own artistic work and the possibilities of education and interaction in its context. ”
