New system of education in

With 2010 new forms of skills came: a new system of evaluation. This new system is more demanding for the students. Many have felt the change. Now, the rubrics are 1 to 5 not anymore I, A, S, E. We hope that with this new evaluation system things at the school improved. Especially, the quality of education that leads to a better learning from socadellista students. Now, students are required a higher academic and behavioral performance to allow the school to evaluate procedural knowledge, emotional and attitudinal way of responding to learning.

Changes in our

School

In the childhood, the human being feels the necessity to experiment and have assessed to everything that surrounds him and he changes according to his growth. He gets up and develops in a society, which can not develop without moral values. But really, what are values? And why are they important? Most of the time, we think and say that with values we can get happiness or that these are the base of our life and especially of future. The values are qualities that everybody has, therefore values cannot be brought or sold. We as young do not understand or practice the values, we prefer give value to a technological devices than share joys and sorrows with our loved ones. Therefore values guide our conduct. And based on them we decide how to act. Because it is useless to have good health, be a believer, be very smart or live with all facilities, if you are not just, kind, tolerant or honest; and you are a bad person who doesnâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;t know how to live in society. Finally we understand that we are wonderful being, full of qualities (values) with God who loves us.

In Sofia Lleras Camargo the new year brought structural and education changes through the support of the mayor Alejandro Char We achieved the construction of a new campus with which you will have coverage in to the pros of learning and development of the pupils socadellistas the change education we can note in the new evaluation system implemented earlier this year with this system we want to achieve is to produce responsible students with excellent academic performance and students who are not profiled for higher education. Thanks to this new system we noticed that we have made progress and achieved great purposes for the improvement of education as this we have achieved better competitive standards that have been put as one of the best schools with a high level of education.

Happy teacher´s day! On May 13th the students of our school celebrated teachers’ day to express their gratitude to their educators. This great event began with a sharing of the students for teachers which was full of music, dancing, food and gifts. Teachers and students came into to the field to a cultural event where the girls expressed words of gratitude to teachers, for their great work they do everyday as teaching and counseling. This event ended in the staff room with a delicious buffet and gifts for every teacher

In February, The school Sofía Camargo de Lleras celebrated “the carnavalito socadellista 2010” where we could see the prom queen, accompanied by the king and queen of out teachers and the different and gorgeous candidates of each grade. The students enjoyed the various cultural events such as, the reading of the Bando, Guacherna night, the Battle of flowers, the Great parade, the Fantasy parade, Queen crowns, and the death of Joselito Carnival; all those full of music, disguises, dance and contest the craziest attire and ecological customs contest.

Women’s day

The woman has been an important part of our society, because she’s a mother, a daughter, a wife and a worker person. She’s considered like the principal component in the man’s life and the human being life. Because of that on this special day to us, the teachers of our school organized for us activities which were done the last hours of the day at the auditorium Beatriz de Cepeda y Roca. In that place, we saw a movie called Motherhood which is about a woman who sticks out to values related to tolerance and responsibility, besides it also shows us the importance to become a mother even if it brings a lot of obstacles. They also emphasized us if we decide to be a mother; we have to be the best ones. If we have a lot of problems in our lives, we have to move on; climb to reach the goals and dreams. We need to be strong and not surrender at the first problem we have. Always keep moving forward…

On March 24th, the student of 11 grades, teachers and others guests celebrated the fifty years our school have been educating the feminine youth.. This great event began with the welcome of the guest by the “Golden prom”. All dressed up with their prom uniform and a flag, they made an Honor Street. Then, we went to the athletic field to start the program with different speeches performed one by a student, two teachers, our principal, a parent, the secretary of education and the Mayor Alex Char who inaugurated the Project for the construction of primary facilities. Alter these speeches, the drama club performed a play about how the student socadellista internalizes the mission and vision. The dance club performed typical folklore music and finally Mexican serenades for our institution. The event ended with a buffet in the auditorium of our school where teachers, director, students and other guests got together.

On July 30th, the cheerleaders of 11th grades were performing at the seminary Juan XXIII outside the city. The purpose of this was to join together at the students of the 11 grade, of the two journals and do of this day something unforgettable for them, because this is the last year in the school. During this event two speakers were conducting the program: Fayia Amin, Fayia Aming was ccompanying us in the reflection get together at school. The second speaker was Issa Maria, who is a former pianist.

It was born in protest against U.S. nuclear practices in the archipelago of Amchitka (Alaska). But, what is the purpose of this organization? This environmental Organization seeks to protect and defend the environment. It also carries out campaigns to protect biodiversity, discuss abusing attacks against nature, and promote the reflection to prevent climate changes and the use of nuclear energy and arms. It is a non-governmental company, where does it obtain its founds? Many people who love the environment and want to do something to protect it have joined this organization. Greenpeace benefits only from the contributions of these partners that have collaborated to obtain funds to finance the activities of this organization. In conclusion, Greenpeace is an organization that focuses on the most serious problems that threaten the future of our planet. In this way, we can prevent the major natural disasters affect the planet. The so-called law of the three R (3R) is a campaign sponsored by Greenpeace in order to promote reducing, reusing and recycling the products we consume. Reduce: we must strive to reduce the volume of products we consume. Very often we acquire things that are not necessary. We do not care how raw materials like water and oil are manufactured. They are so useful for surviving and people do not know it. We must take care of them and use them properly. Another fact is that we must take care of disposable products such as paper towels or tissues. We must be careful of the way we use energy: we should turn off the lights when we donÂ´t need it. Reuse: We must reuse the greatest possible number of objects in order to produce less waste and spend as little as possible. For example, paper, writing paper on one side only can be used for notes or draw.

Toys, children or brothers do not utilize, we must hand them over to other children who need them. Recycling: This cycle consist of manufacturing new products using materials obtained from old ones. If it is possible to reduce consumption or reuse then try something that is at least recyclable. For example, paper, at home like newspapers and magazines, cardboard boxes, glass containers, etc. ENDANGERED SPECIES IN THE OCEAN Not only are the animals that live on land becoming endangered species, but also the one that live in the sea. The industrial revolution has made that many creatures suffer due to the increase of pollution in the ocean. This has been causing massive marine life destruction. This information concerns us all, because we as human beings must look after the marine fauna. The actual climatic conditions, the ocean pollution is killing the animals. We human beings can stop this by promoting reflection on reconsider taking good care of the marine biodiversity. Avoiding nuclear construction and avoiding chemical products spill in the ocean. Bearing in mind the importance of our seas, oceans, and rivers, it is urgently to keep our biology biodiversity alive to survive ourselves. CAN YOU LIVE WITH SNAKES? Will this be possible? Well, believe it or not. There are people that are living with snakes. In a two-bedroom Beirut apartment, a young couple without children lives with 13 snakes. Amazing. Two of them are pythons. These pets come from Thailand, India Srilanka and Anzona. â&#x20AC;&#x153;I am a fervent supporter of the preservation of nature and animalsâ&#x20AC;?. The snakes owner said. A man of 35 years old. An amateur musician whose largest python weighs 40 kg and 4 meter length. This is a not so common ever heard story. But, living with snakes has brought this family some terrible consequences: diseases, viruses among others that can be lethal. Countries like Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, participated in this minute in which the screens were watching the channel Nick remained in the dark. At 9:30 PM, it was a minute dedicated to the planet. It was not only the channel signal that turned off but they also asked viewers to avoid all use of energy during those 60 seconds. The channel broadcasts what to do in order to take good care of our planet. They show images of the “greenest” of our planet and advisesus save water, electricity, recycle our garbage.

The problem of climatic changes is something that affects us all. Many organizations have been concerned for some time to counteract such changes, but that’s not a work of a few but of all “Together we will make a difference”. Oil spill in México

The technical of British Petroleum engineers (BP) were trying to contain the oil spilling, using a submarine robot vehicle in the well, which is damaged in more than 1 kilometer and a half of deep, under the Mexico’s gulf water. BP has mobilized 32 ships with lines of floaters and equipment. They must be suitable to contain and take out the oil, to obstruct that the oil hits the coast. BP signed that 380 thousand liters of dissolvent of oil are ready to be used. The environmentalists emphasize that the oil will provoke the dead of many fishes. Hundred of thousand of oil litres keep pouring in the sea. The saving equipment is doing their best to limite the disaster: They have burnt the oil carpet, they have used a lot of chemical products and they use special equipment. They have tried everything but until now nothing has worked out. Another solution may be to put a bell on the hole of the well. Due to the oil is softer than the sea water, it will rise to the top of the bell. Where it will be accumulated and be extracted by pumping. But this is only a temporary measure. There is a possibility to take out the oil on the surface by using suitable equipment. The oil had to be extracted of the hole through a kind of absorbent pipes. These pipes would take the oil into a deposit. However this method is only a temporary solution. The pressure that is in the hole should be shortened by perforating an alternative well near to it. And if all this fails.... They will try to cover the spill fountain with golf balls and pieces of rubber. Still the BP is pouring chemical products to the sea. Which acts like a detergent: it breaks the oil mark, until it takes the form of little drops. Then the dropssubmerge to the sea ground.

Gone are the elections (first round), one gets the idea of what will be our future president of the republic, but more interesting is that the elected representatives of each party president, decided to create a critique of the government of Alvaro Uribe Doctor during these 8 years, with a view to the Colombian people feel safe and blessed by them. But my paper emphasizes the damage that this man has done to our country flaming. We are in a country where the economy is a mess, where the government has decided to increase expenditure on education (schools privatized), and the increment of taxes. He favors all things of high class, in contrast to the low level, least favorite. We should pray and hope all government meets the poor class needs. The salary will be reduced too or employees shall be increased to a 10% poverty, hampering the progress and needs of people who have acquire a job with dignity. There is a growing security income for terrorism and paramilitary arms to protect the country discriminating powerful. Health and sanitation remain a problem. There is what is necessary when one is needed, as it is not possible for a person who has spent years paying for a post in an EPS. They are not supplying the necessary drugs to a chronic disease like SIDA, CANCER, etc. I put in capital letters that these are agitating and painful diseases: Sanitation in some cities is disappointing; this is not the adequate environment for a human being. There is no denying that this government strength is the democratic security but where are the other needs that the Colombian people need? Needs to be grown and developed to survive in the world. This life is not all war; education is the source of all knowledge, life, truth and freedom, which is what every human wants and desires. So, my dear Colombian people, next time we need to consider who is going to rule our country for more than 4 years.

Last July 29th and August 6th, we celebrated in our school these important dates, because they represent the most important historic times of our country Colombia in which we commemorate our independence from Spain. The first activity was made on July 29th, where the students of 10th and 11th grade let us know how Colombia got freedomfrom Spain. For this, they organized something like a runway of historic characters that playan important role in our independence. After this, we made a “voxpopuli” with our teachers about the independence and the different problems of the country. After that, we finished the second part of the activity at the Paraninfo, where we listened to a lecture about the freedom. Well, the activity we celebrated in August 6th was the Boyacá Battle, where the students of 6th grade had their participation, and they performed aTV news and drama, showing us what happened that time.

In May 14, went the inauguration of the Socadellista Olympics, this occasion went very different, because was not realized in the morning, but of night. The place of encounter went the Saint Vincent park and of there up to our institution. In the Olympics him maked a homage to the mother of the director Arinda de Cure, to counted on the participation of all the students, family parents, teachers, director, coordinators and the channel 13. Has many surprises in all the night, for example: the delivery of a badge to the director, the oath to the channel 13 with the artist Johan, the club of the school Mariano, the folklore groups of the institution and the review of the Prom Golden 2010. In conclusion went a night of much amusement, color, luster, light, emotion, etc. The event culmitedwith a castle and all went him happy for this great spectacle.

physical exercise

For having a good physical and mental health we have to exercise our body. If you don’t exercise, you will have muscular pain. Be human has been designed to be always working. The good and controlated physical activity gives us a lot and big benefits. But for getting those benefits we have to be constants exercising. Sometimes people doesnt like run, swim, play etc. But this is necesarycuz if you dont do it you wont be strong, healthy and may be you would be always getting sick and that’s a bad point for you. If you don’t like go out and run on a park, swim in a pool, you can exercise your body doing what you like to do. Dancing is a good way for exercise, everybody loves it and it’s nice, turn on your Ipod, Mp3, Mp4 etc, and let’s go dance and move your body as you’d never done before. If you hate waking up early, you can go to a gym and use the machines(obviously you have to pay). . Never forget that if you exercise at least 30 minutes at day, you will look younger, cute and healthy. ¡If you don’t wanna look as a jelly, exercise your body!

African dancing is a very important way of communication, and the dancers use grimaces mask, dresses, corporal paintings. The basic moves are very simple: showing the body, the chest or only the foot. These moves are just a simple coordination of the parts of the body

African Weddings African weddings are a family affair and involve the combining of two lives, two families, and sometimes even two communities! There are many different wedding traditions in the African continent and no two are exactly alike. However, in all the communities the bride plays a very special role and is treated with respect because she is a link between the unborn and the ancestors. A bride might eventually bear a very powerful child, so she is treated with respect. There are many steps that take place before marriage starting at a very young age where training takes place in how to be a suitable partner. Girls will many times go to circumcision schools where women teach them what is involved in marriage, and in some ethnic groups even learn secret codes and languages so that they can communicate withother married women. Weddings can be very elaborate, involving feasting and dancing for days, they can be very simple, or they can even be performed in huge marriage ceremonies involving many different couples.
