Opportunities your school won’t want to miss The Scottish Primary School Glee Challenge™ is one of Scotland’s largest independent and most inclusive youth music initiatives Last year over 130 schools joined us in a remarkable journey of song and dance.

Live Performances Participating schools perform in some of Scotland’s leading theatres and venues. 4300 primary school children performed in 32 incredible events across the country in front of combined audience figures of 14000 –15000 (double that figure if we take the internet into account) friends, family and supporters.

Free participation

Workshops Every child in a participating school choir will have the opportunity to participate in a workshop led by one of our own highly qualified team.

Health and Well-Being There is a huge body of research to show that singing in a group benefits us physically, emotionally and socially. Likewise there is general understanding that dance can have a major impact on our physical health and general well being. The strength of the Glee Challenge is in bringing both these aspects together to achieve a sum greater than the constituent parts

There’s even more to Glee The Scottish Primary School Glee Challenge is expanding in response to demand.

Mini-Glee P1-P3 Following numerous requests we piloted mini-glee in 2017-8 in Falkirk with great success. This year will see it expand to Edinburgh and Fife.

Senior-Glee Currently under development we hope to see the very first secondary school Glee Challenge in 2019.

CPD We offer free CPD sessions for Glee choir leaders from participating schools. We hope this year to launch our choir leaders award for those staff in schools wanting to further their skills
