You are able to place food & beverage orders directly from your cart while on the course. Our staff will bring your drink selections to you but food orders must be picked up at the Morand House or Clubhouse, please select which location you prefer prior to ordering food items.

General Attire Guidelines

Not Permitted: Swimwear, tank tops, cutoffs, distressed clothing, gym wear

Hats: Gentlemen must remove hats indoors after 6pm

Members are responsible for ensuring guests comply with all dress standards.

Pool/Bar/Patio Areas:

Sandals and Club-logo athletic wear are permitted.

Headwear is allowed, but must be worn forward at all times.

Veranda Room/Seated Dinners/Formal

Events: Approved:

Collared shirts, polo shirts, blouses.

Khaki pants, dress shorts, tasteful jeans

Casual dresses, skirts, slacks.

Loafers, boat shoes, sneakers, resortstyle sandals

Not Permitted:

Hats must be removed at all times.

T-shirts, tank tops, crop tops

Athletic wear or sweatpants.

Reservation & Cancellation policy

35 Members and guests will be seated and served per half hour from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday - Friday To make reservations, you may call 941.792.1600 and request the time and number of guests in your party If that specific time is full, you will be asked to pick a different time slot to ensure the best level of service to all members.

You may also make a reservation via the members only portal on our website or through our app. Should you like to socialize in the bar prior to your reservation, we simply ask that you are seated at your table at the reservation time you requested.

Should you arrive after your reservation time, we may need to seat you at a later time based on availability.

Members who make reservations for any event must cancel no later than 24 hours in advance. Members who fail to cancel in the allotted time period will be charged half of the price of the event, multiplied by the number of the guests the member reserved unless otherwise stated by the general manager. If there is a “No Call, No Show” then the member will be charged the full amount.

food & beverage Minimum

Members are required a food & beverage minimum spend of $1,200 annually. This is not charged up front, we will keep track of your spending, so you know where it stands throughout the year. This is for our fiscal year, which begins September 1 through August 31 The minimum is pro-rated depending on what month of the year you joined The minimum includes all food, alcohol, dinein or carry-out, and social events. Private events may also count but you must inform the event manager if you would like it to go towards your minimum st

gratuity and Tipping

A 20% gratuity is included on all food and beverage purchases. There is a line on your dining ticket to add extra gratuity, should you feel it’s warranted. You may also show your appreciation for services rendered by contributing to the Employee Holiday Fund, which is distributed to all employees of BCC during the Christmas holidays. A form for this contribution will be mailed with your statement in October

Wine lockers & ordering

You are able to order wine directly from our Food & Beverage manager for a discounted rate. Additionally, we encourage our wine lovers to join our monthly wine dinners

Wine Lockers are $300 with a $75 annual usage fee that gets charged on September 1.

We are delighted to help members celebrate life’s milestones Birthday gatherings, weddings, baby showers, anniversary celebrations, and retirement parties are just a sampling of events regularly hosted by the Club. Children’s parties by our beautiful pool and Palm Cafe are also a popular favorite

Our 18-hole championship golf course designed by historic Donald Ross is a great example of Ross’ work - providing challenges to golfers of the highest skill level and still suitable for every level of player. We also offer a robust golf calendar of tournaments, events, clinics, and lessons, with nearly an endless array of activities to get you out on the course making memories with friends Whether you are looking for competitive stroke play competitions, a casual nine holes in the evening, or professional lessons to improve your game, there is something for everyone, and our golf staff is wonderful in finding the game/group for you.

Guests must be accompanied by a member, who assumes full responsibility for their conduct

Guests may play golf a maximum of 6 times per calendar year.

Unaccompanied guests require Director of Golf approval and are subject to unaccompanied fees.

Guests may visit the Club for non – golf and non – dining activities a maximum of 6 times per calendar year.

tee times

Tee times can be made either through the “Members Only” portal of our website, through our app, or by calling the pro shop directly at 941.792.4159. Should you want to join other players, it is recommended you call the pro shop so they can guide you with the most appropriate pairing.

Full Members can book tee times 14-days in advance

All other memberships can book tee times 7-days in advance

Pace of play

The pace of play of course is based on time. A “good” pace of play will be the daily norm, regardless of group size. The USGA standard pace of play for BCC is 3 hours and 55 minutes; however, faster players are permitted to play through

reciprocal tee times

From May 1 through the end of October, we offer a reciprocal list of other beautiful private courses you can play during this timeframe. Please see the website or visit the Golf Pro Shop to get the list. st

Course Dress Code & Conduct

Golf shoes with soft spikes are preferred; however, tennis shoes may be substituted. Hats designed for golf and worn in the traditional manner (not backwards or sideways) These regulations also apply to all junior players. Not foregoing the withstanding if it is worn on the PGA or LPGA Tours is appropriate for BCC

Raking Bunkers

Please rake bunkers properly after each shot. Please enter and exit the bunker on the shallow side/lowest point.

Repairing Divots

Respect for the course

Properly replacing divots with sand mix helps the turf recover quicker and restores a smooth playing surface Fix your ball mark on greens.

Cart Paths

We use a gate system Please enter and exit the grass between the gates at the start and end of fairways Do not drive on grass on any Par-3 Holes

Walking/Push Carts

Any player may walk the course with no time or day restrictions, but must keep up wit pace of play.

A parent or grandparent must be a member at BCC for a Junior Golf Membership.

Learn, practice, play! In addition to our Junior programming, BCC offers a number of special camps and clinics throughout the year. Watch for our Holiday Camps, Spring Break Camp, and Summer Clinics and Camps.

Grow your skills and love the game at BCC’s seven Har-Tru clay courts. Six hardcourt Pickleball, and year round programming for the entire family. Our tennis programs features USPTA-certified professionals. Take advantage of our ball machine and keep your gear in top shape with full racquet repair and restringing

reserving courts

You can reserve a Tennis Court or Pickleball Court by calling our Racquet Center at 941.920.6805. You can also reserve a court in the app or on the “Members Only” portal of the website

dress code

All players must wear athletic styled clothing for Tennis and/or Pickleball Bathing suits, gym shorts, and cutoffs are prohibited.

Tennis players must wear shoes specifically for Tennis and/or Pickleball

Tennis shoes with non-marking soles are required for Pickleball

rules

1.Courts are closed 12 PM to 2 PM for watering and maintenance.

2.Tennis/Pickleball court reservations must be made by members and may be made up to one week in advance - reservations guarantees a court at a specific time, but does not guarantee the use of a requested/specific court

3 Court assignments are assigned on a first come, first serve basis Reserved court times take priority over walk-ins

4 Members must coordinate with the Tennis Pro Shop at least 48 hours in advance for court times after regular court hours (depending on staff availability).

5.Club tournaments and/or events will be given court priority.

6.The BCC Professional has the use of one court at all times.

The Fitness Center is open every day of the week from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Each member will receive a special key fob that allows you entry into the Fitness Center and Pool Gates.

Our Fitness Center is located in the building overlooking our beautiful pool

We offer treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, mini gym, row machines, and more

Our Pool is open Tuesday through Sunday from dusk to dawn.

The Palm Café operates on seasonal hours that may change throughout the year. For the most up-to-date schedule, please visit the Member Portal or the Club website

Our beautiful Junior Olympic-sized, heated pool offers fun for all. Whether you want to swim laps in our dedicated lap lanes, or lounge under the Palm Cafe, there is something for everyone. The kids enjoy the playground and water slides, while the parents and kids alike enjoy our water slides. And don’t forget to enjoy poolside dining at our Palm Cafe, featuring Mini Melts and a full bar.

LIfeguards

Members and guests must follow posted rules When a lifeguard is present, their authority must be respected.

We do not have lifeguards; therefore, it is swim at your own risk. The Club will provide lifeguards for private member events/parties.

1 Children under 12 must be supervised

2.Groups of 15+ must notify staff.

BILLING & COMMUNICATIONS

MY STATEMENTS

All purchases at BCC, along with regular charges, dues and fees will appear on your monthly billing statement. Printed statements are mailed and emailed the first week of the month You may also view your statement on the “Members Only” portal on the website. You are not able to pay your bill through this portal

payment options

We offer a variety of payment options for both initiation fees and monthly statements. Members have the option to pay via credit/debit card (a 3% fee is incurred for credit/debit card payments), automatic ACH from a checking account, cash, or check inperson at the Club or by mail.

payment due date

Members accounts are due on the 20 day of the month following the billing date and are delinquent on the last day of the month following the billing date Delinquent accounts will be assessed a 1.5% service charge on subsequent monthly account billing for entire amount due.

This weekly email comes out each Friday and lists every activity, member events, announcements, course maintenance, and anything else that pertains to that week

This email is sent out every Monday and lists all Dinner Specials, Drink Specials, Lunch Specials, Dessert Specials, and Soups of the Day for the week.

BCC Monthly newsletter

The BCC Bulletin is our Monthly Newsletter and comes out at the beginning of each month The newsletter includes letters from the department heads recapping you on the month prior and updating you on what to expect upcoming. Event details, hours of operation, and contact information can also be located in the BCC Bulletin.

BOARD GOVERNANCE

The Board of Directors, consisting of twelve voting members, shall have charge of the general management of the business affairs and property of the corporation The immediate past president shall serve as a non-voting ex officio member who shall vote only in the event of a tie.

Eligibility

All voting members (to include the spouse of a voting member) shall be eligible to serve on the Board of Directors except those members or spouses who have served for a full term on the Board of Directors within two years immediately preceding their term of proposed service.

nominations

The President shall appoint, in concurrence with the Vice President, a nominating committee composed of the President, Vice President and two other voting members or spouses not later than September first of each year. At least two of the members of the nominating committee shall not have served on the Board of Directors within the preceding three-year period. The committee shall nominate one voting member or spouse of a voting member for each existing vacancy to serve on the Board of Directors not later than December first of each year.

By Laws of the Club will be provided in a separate booklet and you can also view them on our website, along with monthly Board and Committee minutes.

resignation from the club

A 30-day written or email notice is required, and can be mailed/emailed to the Membership Director, RaeChelle Leiken. The resignation would then take effect the following month.

leave of absence policy

Members in good standing may request a leave of absence (duration - one year) but must pay the published dues for the Leave of Absence category and can only be used once in the lifetime of their membership.

changing membership categories

Members in good standing shall be able to upgrade their membership category but will be required to pay the difference between the published initiation fee for their current category and the published initiation fee for the category they are upgrading to as well as the difference in dues owed between the two categories.

Members in good standing shall be able to downgrade membership category but will be required to pay the difference in dues owed if an upgrade is requested within 24 months the member will be required to pay the difference between the published initiation fee for their current category and the published initiation fee for the category they are upgrading to
