The Bible says in the book of James 1 vs 17 that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above and comes down from the father of lights. That was exactly what happened to Mrs. Mary Ogunare, a widow who came to our office for assistance . She lost her husband four years ago, she said that on

the faithful day her husband left home that he was going to Akoko in Ondo State to work with one chief. Unknown to her, that was last day she saw him. The only information she had later was through phone call that she was told that her husband was at Federal Medical Centre Owo’s mortuary. All efforts to locate the chief whom the husband worked for last proved abortive. For good four years, this woman and her four children lived from hand to mouth. This woman asked RHI, CEO to give her N5,000 to be used to hawk vegetable, her story was aired on our charity program on Adaba Radio with singular intension to

intimate the public. RHI, CEO gave her N10,000 to start business and to God be the glory, the chief that her husband followed to Oka-Akoko surfaced in our office. The woman was invited and had face to face discussion, and the chief gave her N30,000, and promised to assist her more. In nutshell through this program, the woman has got a new lover who married her and bought her a new pathfinder jeep. The new husband is a retired bank officer and also a widower. Thanks to Mrs Remi Oluborode, Executive Director of RHI for her gesture and care for humanity. RHI wishes them happy married life.

RADIANT’S TOUCH PUT SMILE ON WIDOW’S FACE Mrs. Julianah Ojo, a native of Iju, got married to an Ekiti man precisely Ado-Ekiti ten years ago and the marriage was blessed with four children. But now she is a widow. Unexpectedly according to her, the man slept in the night and refused to wake up the following morning, After her husband’s death all her children stopped schooling and she was thrown out of the one room apartment where she stayed with her children because she was unable to pay the rent for two years. This compelled her to take refuglle in an open premise of small church built with plank. In other to feed her self and her children, she decided to borrow money from money lender with compound interest to be selling farm products but due to lack of storage facility, many of the farm products got spoiled, thus becoming debtor. She borrowed Thirty

Thousand naira (N30,000) and within a short time, the money increased to Fifty Four Thousand (N54,000). She managed

to pay the actual money which is Thirty thousand but was unable to pay the interest. The lender tormented her life. This prompt her to visit our office for assistance and with a lot of conversation between her and our boss, help came her way.

This Biblical injunction led CEO, RHI to Obada community very close to Ise-Ekiti. Ekiti State. The community has a population of about Six Thousand (6,000) with different ethnic groups living there, Mrs Remi Oluborode arranged with chief Yusuf, the Bale of the community to share gifts among the widows, widower, orphan and the needy.

RHI WIPES WIDOWE’S LINGERING TEAR Mrs. Ruth Omorinsola is a widow and a native of Ilesha Osun-State. She is forty-Five years Old. She got married to Mr Omorinsola also from Ilesha a bricklayer by profession. Suddenly he fell sick and died. He left his wife, four children and his aged mother behind without any property to take care of them. This forced Mrs Ruth to become a stone blaster, and earned Two Thousand naira for a load of tipper, she can not feed her children with this amount talkless of sending them to school. They were living from hand to mouth. When she heard our program on radio, she went to Adaba Radio station to collect our office address and later came to our office for assistance. After thorough investigation she was given clothes, foodstuffs and cash for immediate needs. Her story was aired in our charity program on Adaba radio with singular intension to solicit public support. A good Nigerian responded and Fifteen

Thousand naira (N15,000) was given to her to start a business. And she always attend prayer meeting of Ireti-Otun women group once in a month, were foodstuffs and transport fare is usually given to all members. With this good gesture of RHI, two of her children are now learning aluminium fibre and computer skills respectively.

AYEODOGBA FAMILY EXPERIENCES TURN AROUND THROUGH RHI Mrs Rachael Ayeodogba, is an Hausa woman she was a soldier during the civil war in Nigeria in late sixty’s. she met Mr Ayeodogba a native of Akure and they both fell in love and got married and blessed with four children, but unfortunately two girls among them died of unidentified causes. After having six children, their husband also died. The boy among them dropped out of school. he is 19years old, a security man at one of the poultry farms in Bolorunduro community at Premier Timber Owo Akure Road. The surviving female child is married to a truck driver and she is full time house wife. Mrs Ayeodogba came to our office for assistance and after proper investigation, CEO, RHI visited the place where they are living at Bolorunduro to confirm the story. CEO, RHI can not hold her emotion when she got to where the family are living, immediately she supported them with cash, foodstuffs and clothes. All this children between the age of four to fourteen (4 -14yrs) have not been to school, arrangement was made. The family story was aired on our charity program on Adaba Radio with singular intension to solicit public sup-

port. A good Nigerian responded and a handsome amount of money was donated, Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,00) was given to them to clear bush for farm work. One hundred plantain suckers and Twenty bundles of cassava stem were also given by RHI’s Executive director to boost the farming business. To make the work Mrs Oluborode presents cash and foodeasier for them, RHI’s CEO,stuffs to family of Ayeodogba two bottles of chemical and a keg & pump were given to them by RHI to be used for spraying of the weed in the farm. To crown it all, the only girl among the orphaned children is currently living with CEO, RHI. All the arrangement have been made to send her back to school. The rest are with their grandparents and RHI promised to sponsor them to secondary school level. The sum of the Ten Thousand naira (Naira) has been given to Mrs Rachael Ayeodogba for the purchase of school uniform and books for the children.

To ensure good sustainability in our project community RHI formed IRETI –OTUN Cooperative Multi purpose Society Limited at Oda and Board communities to all alleviate poverty at communities, RHI discovered high poverty is main causes of HIV/AIDS, RHI believed that helping this people will reduce the rate of HIV/AIDS in the communities. IRETI-OTUN Co-operative Multi-purpose society is registered with Ondo state government and the certificate was issued respectively for the Multi-purpose society.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT My fellow women:- A woman who fails to grow with her husband may become a social misfit to the man in future. The bible says in the book of Genesis 2 vs 18, And the Lord God said “It is not good that man should be alone: IT will make him a helper comparable to him. Therefore let us wake up to our responsibility; man make house but woman make home. NO WOMAN, NO HOME.
