TEENAGE GIRL’S HOPE FOR SURVIVAL RESTORED In furtherance of her commitment towards the survival of the less privileged in the society, RHI again has helped to restore the shattered hope of an out of school teenage girl. The 23 years old Sola Jegede from Ilawe Ekiti had been on bed for 4years for an ailment which could not be diagnosed by physicians after spending 7months in the hospital . Sola predicament started when she was struck by a mysterious wind in the night. Her husband who graduated from the Ekiti State College of Education, Ikere Ekiti is still without a job.
Before then, he had put the girl in the family way. Sola’s mother on the other hand had expended all she had from her kolanuts trade to foot her medical bills. The cares of her 6 years old and
3 years old kids then become a difficult responsibility to take.
Ilawe Ekiti Mr Gabriel Olagunju (JP) approached RHI for supporting on behalf of this family. To alleviate her plight, Sola Jegede was given a wheel chair; also food stuffs for the up keep of her two children and clothing materials were given to her. And finally, RHI gave Sola’s mother a sum Five Thousand Naira (N5,000.00) as initial cash aid to resuscitate her kolanuts trade.
