CAMP H2O

Ages: 8 – 13 Dates: July 25-27 Time: 8:30am – Pick up times based on daily activity Cost: $200.00 Location: Meet at RFPRA Admin Office (1 Shorter Ave) Grab your towels, swim suit and sunscreen… if it has water, we are getting into it!

A few days of waterslides, swimming and more! We will enjoy a day at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, a day at Lake Winnie’s Soakya Water Park and finish up with White Water!

Register by July 8th - space is limited!

Lunch is included each day.

SWIM LESSONS

Learn to swim and stay safe in or near water!

Lessons are offered for ages 6 months & up Class Days: Two-week sessions (8 classes) Classes are 45 minutes, Mon. - Thurs. Cost $45 Session I: Jun 6 – 16, 5:30 PM Sign up by May 23

Session II: June 20 – 30, 9 AM, 10 AM & 5:30 PM Sign up by June 10 Session III: July 11 – 21, 9 AM, 10 AM & 5:30 PM Sign up by July 1 Class levels are Parent+Tot ( 6 mo - 2 yrs), Pre-school (2-5) & Beginner I & II (6 & up)

SWIM SEASON PASSES Northside Season Swim Passes are available for unlimited Open Swim.

Pass quantities are limited. Purchase at Main Office, 1 Shorter Ave. Individual: $50 Family (5 people): $200 POOL RENTALS Available 7 days a week for private parties until September 1.

camp Anthony Each week of Camp Anthony follows a schedule of fun, structured activities including games, contests, swimming, and a weekly trip. Camp provides breakfast and lunch through the Federal Food Program.

Register for all summer or pick and choose your weeks.

If your child wants to bring his/her lunch, please label the bag. We are a high energy camp and kids need a morning snack and a lunch that will see them through to afternoon snack, which we provide.

Along with cool camp crafts, group activities and games, campers will hike up Lavendar Mountain at Berry College for the field trip.

Campers will trek the hills, climb the tower, swing on the rope swing and have a picnic.

This week includes a swim day, so bring your suit, flip flops and sunscreen!

June 6 - June 10 This is a crazy awesome camp week, which includes a day of laser tag. As usual, crafts, games and group activities are a given. Dodge Ball is on our list of games to play.

This week includes a swim day, so make sure your swim bag is ready to go!

June 13 - June 17

There’s nothing cooler than seeing dinosaur skeletons and looking at fossils and stars up close. Along with crafts, games and fun activities, we’ll take a trip to the TELLUS Museum and do a fascinating science project. Don’t forget your swim bag, because we’ll visit the pool, too!

July 5 - July 8

Strap on your hiking gear, because we’re going underground to Raccoon Mountain Taverns. Campers will learn about the cave wildlife and throughout the week, will do fun crafts and activities. Bring a swim bag, because campers will definitely visit the pool!

July 11 - July 15 This week, among our awesome games, crafts and group activites is a visit to the Parks and Recreation state of the art Gymnastics Center. Campers will get some fun gymnastics tips from certified instructors. A trip to the pool is in store, so bring your swim gear!

July 18 - July 22 Camp Anthony’s super cool lineup this week includes making a fun toy, playing tons of games like Star Wars Dodge Ball and Bocce’ (an outdoor bowling game) and a field trip to Classic Lanes to bowl.

Be sure to bring your swim stuff for the Pool Day!

June 20 - June 24 This week, we’re going to walk the red carpet.

A visit to the movie theater is in store for us where we will be big stars. Crafts, games and group activities are a must and of course, a swim day is on the books, so bring your suit!

June 27 - July 1 This week, we’ll learn about the Native American culture that existed in the area long ago.

At the New Echota site, we’ll see an authentic printing press in the Cherokee Language.

There will be awesome crafts, games, and a swim day!

July 25 - July 29 It’s the last week of camp before school starts, so we’d better celebrate! Inflatables, water slides, a pizza party, games, crafts, and not one, but TWO days at the pool, so bring your swim gear.

Campers will have a blast as we wrap of another year of Camp Anthony!

KIDS VS. WILD

Ages: 6 - 13 Cost: $90 Date: June 6-10 Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm At Thornton Recreation Center

Ages 8 - 12 Cost $125/week June 20 - 24 July 18 - 22 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM

LEGOS! NERF WARS! PICKLEBALL! Campers will enjoy using their imaginations building LEGO creations and releasing their energy in Nerf Wars and playing Pickle Ball all while building teamwork skills. A light snack will be provided each day.

This camp is an exciting week in the great outdoors with activities including: archery, fishing, nature crafts, wildlife identification, SWAT, outdoor fire safety, and much more.

Sponsored by Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office and the Floyd County Wildlife Club.

CAMP GOODTIMES Fee: $100/week Ages: 6 - 21 Time: 9 AM - 3 PM June 27 – July 1; July 5 – 8 & July 11 – 15.

Camp Goodtimes is a threeweek summer day camp program for developmentally challenged youth. Fun activities will include: swimming, bowling, crafts, field trips,& more.

It’s the highlight of summer!

PRINCESS CAMP

Ages: 4-8 Cost: $90 Date: June 20-24 Time: 9:00am – 12:00pm At Thornton Recreation Center This camp has everything little girls love...dance, music, dress up, tea parties, stories, crafts and more! Children will spend their time “being princesses” while enjoying daily activities based on popular fairy tale princesses; campers are encouraged to dress up each day. Campers will be divided into age groups upon arrival. A light snack will be provided for your camper each day.

GIRLS WHO CODE

Ages: 10-14 Cost: $125 Date: July 18-22 Time: 9:00am – 3:00pm At Georgia Highlands College Library In the inaugural Girls who Code Camp, students will learn coding basics and computer science concepts. Through hands-on instruction with local women in technology, each girl will build her own website and video game. Participants must bring their own lunch but snacks are provided.

You must register by July 8th – space is limited.

GYMNASTICS CAMP Time: 8:00 AM - Noon Cost: $90/week June 13-16, June 27-30 & July 11-14 Ages 3+ grimess@floydcountyga.org Each day, campers will enjoy gymnastics, tumbling, games and arts & crafts!

SOCCER CAMPS Junior Academy (Ages 4-8) Academy (Ages 9-15)

Date: Jun 14 – 18* & July 16* Time / Cost: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM - $115 OR 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM - $200 Before Care (7:00 AM – 9:00 AM) and After Care (4:00 PM – 5:00 PM) -- $50 Location: North Floyd Park Soccer Fields *Saturday June 18 & July 16 camps will end at Noon.

Build upon your individual soccer skills, in a fun, encouraging environment with an excellent training staff. The NGU youth soccer camps provide a stress-free environment in which young participants can develop and apply the fundamentals of soccer—from the development and application of critical skills to the understanding and execution of game strategy-all while balancing fun and instruction. A light snack will be provided for your camper each day.

ALL SPORTS CAMP June 27 - July 1 Cost: $120 (Includes a t-shirt!)

Time: 9 AM - 5 PM Ages: 6 - 14 Campers must bring a lunch & snack each day except Friday. More details below.

Meet at Thornton Recreation Center.

Campers will be transported to daily activity locations.

All Sports Camp is one of our most exciting, fun-filled weeks of camp. Kids will have a blast playing several sports, learning the values of sportsmanship and team-building activities.

Sports include swimming, gymnastics, bowling, NERF WARS, football, basketball, volleyball, softball, soccer, pickleball and other activities and games. The camp will wrap up with a cookout on July 1.
