Lock and Dam is a 73 acre park, located off Blacks Bluff Road and is on the National Registry of Historical Landmarks. The park offers some of the best crappie and stripper fishing in North Georgia.

Lock and Dam offers visitors scenic RV ready campsites with picnic shelters, a large picnic shelter, the Coosa River Trading Post (a convenience fishing and camping supply store), an exhibition center, river fishing and boat access ramp.

Other amenities include: horseshoe pits, various picnic shelters, open play areas, restrooms, shower and laundry facility, nature trails and

an observation overlook.

The park also has a primitive group tent camping area, with shelters, fire rings and restroom facilities.

It’s a great setting for group gatherings and outdoor educational opportunities for children.

Fees for Lock and Dam Park include $2 for parking and $3 for boat launch. Additionally, the Coosa River Trading Post sells fishing and hunting licenses. The store also carries live bait such as minnows, various worms as well as tackle.

Lock and Dam Park offers RV and primative camping. Select sites feature direct sewer hook-up, river views and pavilions. Campers have full access to bath house, laundry facilities, fishing, trails, and nature preserve.

Daily and weekly rates are available.

Coosa River Campground Sites 1 - 31 all have picnic tables, power & water. All sites have or have access to a Fire Pit &/OR Grill.
