Publisher's Note “By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you’ll become happy; if you get a bad one, you’ll become a philosopher. – Socrates” Indeed a very wise quote from a very wise man, but individuals have different ideas on what marriage is, and I am very glad to share what’s mine. Marriage is not only a ritual of two love birds sharing each other’s passion, it’s more than that. It’s also accepting the odds and chaos that comes with it along the way, together. Admit it or not, money, most of the time, is the root cause of it; from coming late home from work having limited time for family, drinking and partying with friends ‘til dawn down to not having enough budget to buy necessaries for you and your family, with or without it, chaos. Money if not spent wise is a pity. We don’t want ending up saying, “I could’ve just bought this instead of this” or “I could’ve saved for it” worst, “I shouldn’t have invested this much, now we’re broke.” Inside this issue, our final blast for the quarter, we have included the wisest of your money can avail and invest into. From pre to post marriage necessities; the gowns of Joel Bautista fittingly pleases every bride’s idea of a perfect wedding. You want to remember this once in a lifetime event forever right? Also included in this issue are varieties of condominiums in the metro worth all the investment for your future family. If you want a convenient and ideal way of living in the heart of the city; accessible transportation, near hospitals, schools and universities, and malls and groceries, almost perfect for a Metro wise lifestyle, there are lots from this issue to choose from. However, if you want a soothing cool breeze, serene surroundings and away from noise, Club Balai Isabel is always a wise choice. This condotel resort in Talisay Batangas is a perfect place to commune with nature. This is not only an advertisement but also a testimonial. I have been to and tried almost all the services of each and cliché as it may sound, words are not enough to describe it. The magazine doesn’t only advertise what’s in and fab, the people behind it also believe in the integrity of each company, real estate, and people it advertises. The Wedding Magazine believes in the value of wise spent money and worthy investment. It offers a sensible idea of what marriage should be like before, during and after it. Enjoy browsing our final issue and I and the whole editorial team wish everyone a Merry Christmas in advance.

Ramil

Jennifer’s

Wedding August 27, 2013

Every guy wants to marry the perfect girl for him; most importantly it needed to be the girl who shares in the same values and beliefs as he does. On the 27th of August 2013, it turned out to be the happiest day in Ramil and Jennifer’s lives. Ramil not only married his dream girl, but also his partner in life. Jennifer’s spontaneous smile brightened the gloomy skies outside the HillCreek Gardens pavillion as guests celebrated the couple’s special day. Scrumptious food was prepared and served by Town’s Delight – The Caterer and also created an atmosphere that can be described as light, fun and lively with its romantic tablescapes. Guests noshed on Fried Meatballs with Marinara Sauce and Garlic Bread Finger Crunch with Mexican Salsa before digging into dinner – a hand selected menu by Ramil and Jennifer that includes Pasta Linguini with Sundried Tomato, Broccoli with Lemon Butter, Southwestern Roasted Chicken Breast, Grilled Pork Spareribs, Pot Roast Beef, Grilled Fish Fillet Grenoblaise and Roasted Redskin Potatoes. The night was relaxed and full of laughter, a kind of wedding that every girl would wish for. Wedding suppliers are Town’s Delight – The Caterer, HillCreek Gardens, Mavie Events Management and Eventure Photography.

WEDDING FEATURE

Women, Who Says Being Single is Boring? by Kaye Mangabat

This is the time you’ve been long waiting for! Congratulations you’re single! Yes you got that right; let me say it again, congratulations! There’s no time for weeping and being sentimental remembering how things have always been used to be. Save your tears for more important events in your life, like your wedding. That kind of event is far more worthy of your tears; tears of joy that is, let’s make it clear. There are a lot of things to enjoy now that you’re unchained from the buckle of your annoying partner who always tell you what to do and what not. Remember that you’re free now. It’s the best thing in life that you can always be thankful for. It’s time to explore the world and to discover things you can do. You may want to check out my list. Travel – Go to places that can make you forget everything that surrounds you to remember him. Take a dip – Have fun under the sun, even the rain. Feel free to shout in a vast ocean and dance under the pouring rain. Express your feelings and be a kid again. Never mind what others will say if they see you or hear you, it’s your life, your choice. You can do whatever you want. Spend time with friends and family – Now is the best time to reunite with them don’t you think? Go out with them. Make time for the parties, dinner and night out you missed because your boyfriend didn’t let you to go. Find a new hobby – You may want to hit the gym or be busy in sports. Good way to kill time and get your body back into shape. You might be surprise of the changes that it will give your mind and body or maybe find him crawling back to the sexy new you! You’ll never know if you’ll never try. Challenge yourself – Face your fears and try to do the things that you’re scare of; afraid of heights, try bungee jumping, scared of horror movies, watch it in cinemas alone, there’s more time now for this kind of things. You may be surprise how strong you really are and how far you can actually go. Read a book – This is the cheapest of all the things you can do spending time alone. Great contribution for learning, and discovering new things. Those are only few of the many things you can actually do now that you’re free. Congratulations on whatever plans you may add to it. Enjoy every minute of your time discovering the new you. Congratulations on being strong doing all of these alone. Cheers to singlehood and welcome back to the world.

Tips on Your

Love Battling Voyage Love; how do you see yourself battling with or for it? Are you one of those who sit on a corner, overlooking through a window, watching every teardrops of heaven while waiting for the perfect timing? Or are you a brave heart who will face every obstacle, big or small, along the way to get what it has always longing for? However you want to fight for it, subtle or bold, you have to be the best version of yourself. For when the perfect timing has come to arrive, when every obstacle has already been done battling with, you can tell yourself, “I have been the best of me along the way”. Here are several ways achieving this. • Let go of the preconceived notions of who you think you are. Your past doesn’t define you now. Forgive yourself for whatever you have done before. It’s the present and what you do today to make it best that matters. • Take care of your health. Sometimes we forget the most important thing. Anything worth fighting for deserves a good story line after the battle, even before the battle if so to speak. Eat healthy; vegetables and fruits should be come as one of everyday staple. A quick 20-30 minute exercise a day would also be a great contribute. It’s approximately just 2% of your day. No excuses. Live well. • Discover your inner happiness. It is indeed amusing to find happiness from someone you have fought hard for, discovering lot of things both of you is passionate about. But happiness doesn’t depend from someone else. If you keep seeking happiness from someone, you will never be contented. Know what really makes you happy and know what you can do to achieve it. Is it travelling? You don’t need someone for you to pay for that. Earn it. Chocolates? Buy it for yourself. Flowers? Have you ever wondered of visiting a park lately? If not, go. You may also try something new that you’ve never thought you’d do, be adventurous, and discover your undiscovered self. You might find yourself astonished in what other possible things in life you thought unachievable. • Leave the unanswered questions behind. You don’t have to know right away all the answers you’re seeking. Be open-minded. Things come and go that’s a fact. All you have to do is to move on and move forward. You may never know, the answers will just present itself along the way, at the most unexpected time in at most unexpected way. • Cherish the little things in life. The wind, the trees, the river, the sea, everything. That’s what makes you human. If it weren’t for all these things, our world in completely blank and pale. Sometimes, beauty lies on the things we oversee, things we under appreciate, things we would’ve come to discover important when it is gone. Cherish it while it is there before it is too late. • Last but not the least, the simplest of all, smile. How much does it cost you to stretch both ends of your lips and forget all the your wearies? Nothing. Smile even though it hurts, smile even if it is difficult, smile even if you seem illogical to do it, smile for no reason and the world will smile back at you. Of all the love you can give, it is the love for self that matters most. If you don’t love yourself and won’t put high value to it, how do you expect someone does? Love… everyone talks about it, everyone yearns for it, and everyone needs it, but how can you give it if you don’t have it?

Loven Canon:

Amazing woman with missions in life There is no exception. Every one of us has a mission to fulfill in this world that is why each of us have been given “gifts” by God that we should use to thank him for the life he gave. On Life... Loven Canon has realized her purpose in this world after she graduate from college. During her childhood she questions things in life like: Why are there rich and poor people? Why do kids should go to school everyday? Why do fathers leave their families to earn money abroad and not work in their own country instead so they can be near their family? Another observation during her childhood, was her keen sight on people getting sick. This made her decide to pursue nursing. However after college; Loven developed an advocacy for “womanity,” one of the reasons why she joined Jaycees International and became the president of Junior Chamber International, Surigao WENSIE (Women of Excellence: Nurtured, Strengthened, Inspired,Empowered) Jaycees. Since then, Loven has always been involved in different community works in the Philippines that upholds women’s equal status in society. On Love... When she was asked if she's willing to sacrifice her advocacy and her involvement in community works if she meets the man she'll fall in love with... She says, “In life we couldn’t have it all, so we have to choose. I knew a lot of women who are very successful in their profession but are failures with men. We don’t have to reveal who they are, but they are very popular and icons in their chosen fields. I know also some who are at the peak of their career who were ruined instead by the men behind them. Advocacy for the welfare of women and community works are my way of life and it is part of who I am and I couldn’t just easily let them go. I believed I don’t have to choose between a love and a dream. If a man is strong enough to stand by me and support me to fulfill my dreams then he would be the right one for me.” Early this year, when Loven is on her stint in showbiz, she is very determined to achieve her goal. Even at the door of popularity then, she would always find time to do what she’s always wanted, “Missions in life are my first priority.” Right now she's into fashion modeling and endorsing. One of her endorsement is Aphrodite Dermatology Clinic of Dr. Carol Maronilla. Another one are the gowns of Edwin Uy, known as one of the top designer of wedding gowns in the Philippine. Edwin is also called the “designer of the celebrities”. He’s dresses showbiz personalities like Pia Guanio, Mel Changco, Rachel Anne Go,Jean Garcia, Bea Alonzo, Kuh Ledesma, Zsa Zsa Padilla and Vina Morales to name a few.

REAL WEDDING

Francis is a licensed physical therapist who have chosen to live and practice his profession of being an allied medical health practitioner in in San Francisco. This is quite a long distance relationship for him and Aezel but both have done their best to make it work. Aezel however is a registered nurse though she is back in school finishing another degree this time in medical technology.

FIL-AM WEDDING JOURNAL MAGAZINE

Rosie de Vera of flowers and Foliage , a long time friend happens to be related to Aezel, the bride-elect and has recommended me for Aezel and Francis' wedding attire concerns. I thought Azel came in unguided so as an accommodating designer, I had to prime and orient her , introduce to her the ideal steps in deciding on how to have a wedding gown made. I had to guide this 23 year old young bride somehow. It most definite that I am only a designer and does not ambition to assume other roles for the couple but for me there is always this feeling of projecting that my bride-clients is my sister and to act as a big brother making sure that she gets a very good deal arrangement not only with a designer but as much as I can to assist in sharing inputs in getting other supplier vendors for I have been in the wedding industry at the time when the so called “Philippine Wedding Industry became institutionalized. Fitting came and as the saying always applies, "There is always a second time if the first time did not succeed." I had to request them for a second fitting. I succeeded after the second fitting and soon it was time to prepare and pack the commissioned attires. Francis likewise gave me the privilege to create a cream colored Mao suit as his groom’s attire. Over all, I have all praises from this couple. Very cooperative, understanding and considerate and this admirable qualities clients Come their wedding day, as my commitment to myself primarily to see all my bride-clients commence with their bridal march. Despite my condition, I made sure that my goodwill service to the bride is carried out very well. I have been assisting my bride-clients in all my years of work and this goodwill completes my feeling of fulfillment. The photo-video team waited outside the bridal suite. My staff made sure that she was groomed very well from her petticoat to the lining of the gown, making sure the gown's zipper is maneuvered properly. A very pretty set of white peonies was her bridal bouquet. We got the body form we lend to them and made sure that it was placed properly in my car. When we reached the floor head for room 848 where Aezel was preparing I was just kinda surprised the photo-video team all left downstairs not catching the moment for the bride to be walking along the corridor of the eighth floor of Sofitel Philippine Plaza.. Aezel has transformed from a naive looking medical technology student to a radiant bride. Francis of course is not to be left behind, Looking so chic clad in his wedding attire with a sporty shades to protect him from the sun and wore it well. Of course he looked even more dashing during the actual commencement of the wedding ceremony when he had his sunglasses removed. It was a balmy afternoon but the weather was very cooperative having their ceremony celebrated at the sea wall area of the hotel. We are confident we did a good job for Aezel and Francis. As soon as Azel reached the area to receive Francis hand and eventually have themselves seated well, my task has ended. Wishing this couple a married bliss.
