The Full Monty
Brüka Theatre presents the comedic musical theater hit based on the cult film of the same name with a book by Terrence McNally and score by David Yazbek. The production opens on Friday, June 26, at Brüka Theatre, 99 N. Virginia St. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday through Aug. 1 with 2 p.m. matinee shows on Sunday, July 12 and July 19, and Wednesday evening shows at 8 p.m. on July 8 and July 29. Advance tickets are $22 for general admission and $20 for students, seniors and military personnel. All tickets at the door are $25. An Elegant Evening of Chamber Music
Musicians Ruth Lenz, John Lenz and James Winn of the Reno Chamber Orchestra will perform the Horn Trio by Johannes Brahms and the Trio in A major by Franz Josef Haydn. The concert begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, in the Wayne and Miriam Prim Theater at the Nevada Museum of Art, 160 W. Liberty St. Champagne and desserts by chez louis will be served after the performance at 8 p.m. The ticket includes admission to the Nevada Museum of Art galleries, which will open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $100. Reno Rockabilly Riot
The celebration of hot rods, drag racing and rockabilly culture features drag races, contests, tattoo shows, a burlesque show and live music on outdoor stages in downtown Reno. The event kicks off on Thursday, June 25, and continues through Sunday, June 28, at several downtown Reno venues, including the Sands Regency, 345 N. Arlington Ave., Silver Legacy, 407 N. Calidanza
The professional dance company fuses contemporary technique with traditional Mexican folk dance to tell stories of the rich cultural traditions of Mexico. Calidanza will present a short afternoon matinee program and a longer evening program of dance. The matinee begins at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, and the evening show at 7:30 p.m., at the Valhalla Boathouse Theatre at the Tallac Historical Site, 1 Valhalla Road, South Lake Tahoe. Tickets for the matinee performance are $12 general admission and $10 for children age 12 and younger.
