We strive to protect and enhance our region as it is a unique place, underpinned by a rich heritage and enviable river lifestyle. We are proud to share
and nurture this natural beauty, welcome visitors and drive growth and investment to sustain our vibrant community long into the future.
We lead healthy, active and fulfilling lives, with a commitment to support and respect each other and our environment. Together, we’re building a brighter future.
The quotes that appear throughout the document are community responses to the question "What do you love about living in or visiting the Renmark Parina area?"
A good Community Plan should reflect the collective aspirations of the community and provide a clear pathway to addressing the issues and opportunities that are most important.
It is also important that the Community Plan is set in the context of local government’s role and the outcomes that are within Council’s scope of control or influence, and within Council’s financial resources that it can reasonably forecast to access in the future.
Council is committed to delivering action against this community vision, organised by four community aspirations, supporting goals and areas of focus.
It has also identified the type of role that it expects to play when placing effort against the identified initiative.
In addition to the initiatives identified within this Community Plan, Council delivers a broad range of services each year in accordance with its Annual Business Plan.
