Brazil and Latin America Daikin launches in Brazil the innovative iTouch Manager

DAIKIN, a world leader in air conditioning just launched in Brazil iTouch Manager, innovative automation system for air conditioning equipment. With a touch screen of 14 inches, the new iTouch Manager has many features for the end user and those responsible for its maintenance. In celebration of 30 years of VRV (variable refrigerant volume), split system intelligently created and patented worldwide by DAIKIN, iTouch Manager complements the functioning and operation of its resources. In ten years, Daikin has already sold in Brazil more than 20 thousand imported VRV units. Concern for the environment, technological innovation, energy saving and quality service are the hallmarks of major DAIKIN. The company is associated with the Green Building Council Brazil (GBC Brazil), and its products are suitable for LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).

Carrier Corporation, which has three manufacturing plants in the City of Santa Catarina in the Mexican State of Nuevo León, will be establishing a fourth plant in the area. The facility for the production of heating and cooling products will be operational in 2013. Manufacturing that will be taking place at the new Carrier plant will have its origin in production that is currently taking place at company plants in Texas. The fourth Carrier manufacturing facility in Mexico makes it the company’s third largest manufacturing location, after the United States and China. The new Carrier plant in Mexico will employ four hundred workers. Carrier’s, Miguel Ramirez, pointed out that the company’s Mexico operations are some of the most noteworthy corporation-wide. In 2010 Carrier operations in Nuevo León received Gold recognition from LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design). LEED is a program run by the United States Green Energy Business Council. This production entity was the first manufacturing facility of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation in the world to receive this honor. Nuevo León is located in Northeastern Mexico. It borders the states of Tamaulipas to its north and east, San Luis Potosí to its south, and the State of Coahuila to the west. To the north, Nuevo León has a 15 kilometer (9 mi) stretch of the U.S.-Mexico border adjacent to the U.S. state of Texas. As of 2010, Nuevo León’s economy represents 11.4% of Mexico’s total GDP or 165 billion USD.
