ear Readers, As we unveil our August issue, I am thrilled to introduce you to a remarkable woman who embodies the essence of elegance, resilience, and empowerment—Chithra Rajagopalan. Her journey from a naive Indian immigrant to a proud American citizen and a fearless leader in finance is nothing short of inspiring. Chithra’s passion for youth education, mental health, and women’s empowerment has been a driving force in transforming lives, and it is an honor to share her story with you.
In this issue, we aimed to capture the duality of Chithra’s grace and strength. We showcased her elegance in an Aritzia white blazer, a piece that reflects her sophisticated style. Yet, to truly celebrate her achievements and her role in the non-profit sector, we also featured a stunning evening look—an exquisite gown designed by Suzanne Hanley of Atelier Des Modistes in San Francisco. This gown, perfect for a gala event, complements Chithra’s dignified presence and the causes she so passionately supports.
Our photoshoot was brought to life by the talented photographer Michael Moore, who, fresh from Paris, captured Chithra’s essence with his lens. We were fortunate to collaborate with the brilliant fashion stylist Tina Bhardwaj, who added her unique touch by pairing the minimalist ivory suit with Indian jewelry, paying homage to Chithra’s Southern Indian roots. Tina also styled a striking black and gold jacquard three-piece ensemble, blending Indo-Western elements in a fusion that speaks to Chithra’s rich cultural heritage. As always, the impeccable hair and makeup were done by Katya Rich, who ensured that Chithra’s natural beauty and poise shone through every frame. To celebrate this special cover, we are hosting an exclusive unveiling event at the trendy Pamela Walsh Gallery. It’s a space that perfectly complements the artistry of our issue, and you can also meet Pamela Walsh on the pages of Red Hot Monde. We hope you enjoy this issue as much as we enjoyed creating it.

BACKGROUND AND EDUCATION
Can you tell us about your educational background and how it prepared you for your role as Head of Finance in a cybersecurity company?
I started my career at Deloitte right after my MBA in Finance. As an aspiring MBA student, the goal was always to get into a Big4, and I was one of the fortunate students to be able to land my job even before my final exams were over through campus placements. I did spend time with Deloitte and Ernst & Young after that, but soon got introduced to the world of startups after my move to the US. There was no looking back after, I really got addicted to the chaos of a startup. Even though I started in an accounting position, I worked extra hours with our VP of Finance to learn more about FP&A, strategy and so on. I helped out on his projects since I was always curious about how decision making happened in the backend for any company, especially at such an early stage. My career grew from there through start up consulting where I started touching all aspects of Finance and not just accounting. From consulting, went on to heading finance teams in many organizations and being part of amazing Finance teams.
specifically?
My parents were both in taxation, so I guess it was always in the DNA. Growing up, I don't remember wanting to pursue anything other than an MBA. There was a natural inclination towards business and I chose my undergraduation with a major in accounting plus taxation. As soon as I joined my MBA, I knew I had to work at Deloitte and remember being very adamant to make that happen.
The introduction to the tech industry was not at all planned. Growing up in Kochi, a small town in the south of India, not even in my wild-
Redefining Leadership
Today I head the finance department at Obsidian Security. We are a cyber security solution that combines application posture with identity and data security to prevent all types of SaaS breaches. Our lead investor, Greylock, recruited me for Obsidian, and I really connected with our CEOs vision and our product capabilities, especially now where SaaS security is very vulnerable across all verticals.

dreams I thought I would end up in the US. I never thought I would ever work or live outside of India. When I did move, I happened to be in Silicon Valley and ended up working at a startup consulting company that had a major focus on the tech industry. This was the first time I was truly exposed to the tech industry in depth. The more experience I started getting, the more I started getting intrigued by the innovation, especially in the SaaS industry. It's always great to see how tech evolves and new solutions are able to fuel the system. Even in the Finance and Account-
ing industry where new tech adoption is usually very low, has experienced a big shift in the last decade or so, where more finance leaders are being open to more cloud base solutions. I feel fortunate that I ended up in the heart and birthplace of brilliant technologies that the world experiences today, and work with amazing people, whom I have learned so much from.
NON-PROFIT INVOLVEMENT
Can you tell us more about the mission of the non-profit you work on and the impact they aim to achieve?
Blossom Projects is a California based 501(c)(3) non-profit that works with Dalit and tribal youth in India. Our mission is to empower youth and their families in economically and socially marginalized communities
A journey of a fearless finance leader transforming lives through her passion for youth education, mental health, and empowerment.
EMPOWERING YOUTH THROUGH EDUCATION & MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT
IS NOT JUST A MISSION; IT’S A MOVEMENT THAT CAN TRANSFORM ENTIRE COMMUNITIES.

through education, core skill building, leadership, and employment. Unfortunately the caste system still prevails in the social structure, even though it's not fully addressed in the mass settling. The tribal communities are very much impacted by this. It would be great to see a caste free society, but that change is not going to happen overnight. One detail we all forget is that the most affected are the children among all this. And this is where Blossom Projects focuses on. We support youth from tribal communities by giving them a second chance to education and a healthy living.
Our institute in India provides a residential program for students to graduate high school and provides them a path towards a job and/or higher education. These are teenage students at an average age of 16 years or so, who are in the delicate part of their lives. Most of the students who come join our program are victims of sexual assaults, physical/mental abuse, or come from extreme poverty. They are pretty much lost on their path forward, without a hope ahead. These kids deserve a second chance at a quality life, education, care and support. We have staff who are experienced in handling such students who come from traumatic backgrounds. This is where we see our unique value, by giving them access to education, shelter, and three meals a day. We have seen so much success working closely with the youth. 85% of students who join our
program settle down with a job or higher education. Apart from their exam curriculum, we engage them in creative arts, sports etc. which contributes immensely in their healing. Believe it or not, the majority of our students when they join the institute, are malnutritioned. Sometimes the help they need is as simple as a nutritious meal and a safe place to sleep at night. It's just $3.5 a day per student, that’s all it takes to give them the life they deserve. That's cheaper than buying a grande cafe latte!
You can always learn more about us at www.blossomprojects.org, where you can also sign up for our newsletters.
What motivated you to be involved with a non-profit focused on equality, youth education, and mental health?
Children at their primary developing age are so vulnerable and dependent on their caregivers. The quality of their lives are purely dedicated based on what's being handed to them by these caregivers, and the rest of their lives are just a manifestation of these early developing years. If we can build a stronger foundation for the youth in a society, it positively impacts their families, and then influences a community, which then influences the larger society. We have seen this trickle effect with the students we have worked with. This is the change that motivates me. The students we work with come from so much trauma and being able to advocate for them and give them a chance for a good quality life and a safe secure future is what we strive for. I come from a culture where mental health is not discussed openly, and we want to empower the next generation to be able to grow up with tools that help them tackle the adversities of life head strong.
I also very much believe that education is an asset that no one can take away from you. When I came to the
US, all I had in my tool box was my education which helped me build my life here. I want our students to have the same tools handy which will help them build the future with.
Are there any particular success stories from your non-profit work that stand out to you?
There are so many, I don't even know where to start. One particular story that moved me was one of our students named Parvathy, a lovely 16 year old. Her father had passed away when she was very young. She grew up with three siblings, with a mentally challenged mother at home. Their house was not safe or secure for a child to grow up in and was sent to her mother’s sister house, where she unfortunately went through a sexual assault from a family member. She complained to the family and was threatened to keep quiet, until one night where she took matters into her own hands and ran to the police station at 10pm in the night asking for help. She managed to get the assaulter in jail, but still had to go through emotional torture from her family. She decided to join Blossom Projects in hope of a better future and today she is completing her 12th grade through our residential program. She says that the biggest relief for her is that she gets a safe place to sleep at night. I think as Blossom Projects, we have found our success, if we are able to make girls like Parvathy feel like they have a safe place to call home. Parvathy aspires to be a Civil Service Officer when she grows up and we are all here to support her to achieve all her dreams.
PERSONAL JOURNEY
Your personal journey saw a few low points, especially during the early years of your move from India to the US. Can you share some insights into your experience with this and how it has influenced your personal and professional life?
As I had mentioned earlier, I would have never imagined a life outside of India. The only reason I moved was because my ex-husband lived here in California. I was part of an arranged marriage at the age of 23, and this was always an expected life event growing up for me. I was always raised to be a perfect wife or a suitable bride, and never to be a strong individual with a sense of self worth. Unfortunately this is true for many many women from my culture. Arranged marriages are very normalized. Explained in layman terms, imagine Hinge or Tinder, but the parents are the ones who do the swiping.
So at the age of 23 I was uprooted to an entirely new world, where I knew nobody, entirely dependent on my ex-husband. I didn't even know how to go from point A to point B without freaking out. The marriage unfortunately was not a success. However it shifted my life entirely and was the biggest blessing where I discovered my true self. Life is a perfect teacher when you hit rock bottom with a financial crunch, being seen as a burden by who you thought were your “loved ones”, and then you have to restart your life from scratch from a place of low self esteem. The whole experience exposed me to the importance of mental health, the idea of self worth, gratitude for small things in life, power of detachment, power of positive thinking and rewiring your reality. I still would not change any experience from my past, no matter how painful it was, since it made me who I am today. It gave me so much resilience both in my personal or professional life. It was a great journey from being a naive immigrant Indian girl, who didn't even know what a Greencard was, to being a proud American citizen today. I am eternally grateful to this country for helping me experience freedom and have an agency over my own life. It is unfortunate that the experience as
a young, ambitious, “husband-less” girl in India would be very different, compared to the US. Hopefully the change happens from the youth today, so that more women feel empowered to thrive in spite of any adversities or challenges.
How do you balance the demands of being a finance leader in a high-stakes industry with your commitment to non-profit work?
This is actually something I have thought about myself quite a bit. Yes, both these roles I do are very demanding, but I feel very equally driven. I am someone who believes that if it's something you enjoy doing, it does not feel like a drag or a “job” you need to do. I love my corporate role and how much I get to learn each day by working with amazingly talented people; and I love the joy I get to experience by supporting the students and the staff at the non-profit. Both the roles have its own impact in leaving a mark in the world.
PERSONAL STYLE, VALUE AND JUGGLING ROLES
With so many roles to juggle, how would you describe your personal style and value system?
There are three things I would describe as my value system or approach to life,
One is having a gratitude mindset. I wake up everyday seeing life as a blessing and as an opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. Our lives are nothing but manifestations of our thinking. So we can either be thankful that we have an opportunity to make a difference in our lives or blame circumstances for when something goes wrong. The choice is yours.
Number two is having a helping mindset. I believe that we were all placed in this world to help each other and grow together. This was
The BLOSSOM PROJECTS
Blossom Projects is an educational residence for young women and men who have dropped out of school in Kerala, where they can continue their academic study and develop confidence. Our curriculum emphasizes communicative English, public speaking, computer skills, the arts and academic mastery. In Kerala, the dropout rate for girls is very high in the Dalit community, those traditionally-considered “untouchable.”
Girls’ individual excellence is not encouraged by their families, their communities or the society at large. Further, girls are often pressured to work before they finish their education. However, if these girls live in an environment where boys and girls support and encourage one another, where they can feel secure, loved and cared for, they will build their self-esteem. This is our motivation and this is the inspiration for Blossom Projects.
We have seen incredible success in our programs year after year. After graduating from any of our tracks (intensive literacy, high-school extended, summer and winter camps) our students reenroll in the state school system, join vocational training, or secure a job. Over 1200+ students have enrolled and participated in our programs since 2012. Our 20212022 program for 10+2 students saw a 100% pass rate!
Blossom Projects consists of two secure single-gender residential communities, overseen by wardens. Students stay for ten months, attending courses during the day in mixed-gender classrooms. Students cook and clean their hostel and attend their courses. After the course, they may take their state exams and re-enroll in school or technical training. They also have an opportunity to return to their own villages, serving as youth leaders, training younger students and creating their own unique social projects, with the help of our Lokuttara Leadership Academy alumni network.

Number three is to live life intentionally. I believe in spending time really questioning what goals one should set for their lives, and what are the tradeoffs and non-negotiables that come along with it. This really helps make life more intentional, but at the same time being humble about the fact that there will always be circumstances that are outside your control, but the question is whether we have the tools to handle such situations when it presents itself.
Can you share any tips or strategies you use to manage stress and maintain a healthy worklife balance?
Self care is a huge part of being able to have that healthy balance which gives you the space to be much more productive in everything you do. One habit that has been part of my life is meditation and yoga. Everyday, for the past 15 years, the first thing I do after I wake up is to meditate. I cannot stress enough on the power of meditation and how it has positively impacted me over these years. How you breath and how you are able to be mindful, has a huge impact on how your brain functions. Throughout my life, this has been a very powerful tool that has helped me get through stressful days.
INSPIRATION AND ADVICE
Who or what inspires you the most in your work, both in finance and in your non-profit activities? How do you prioritize your various responsibilities?
I am someone who is always very curious and always hungry to learn new things. I like to approach my career with a student mindset, so that I am able to learn as much as I can from every opportunity that’s thrown at me. The competition I have is always with myself where I try to see how I can improve my life a bit today compared to the version I was yesterday. Few of us in the industry are working
on a CFO collective forum to create a repository of resources and material which aspiring students across the world can access. I am really excited to launch this, especially for students who cannot afford to take expensive PG programs.
And when it comes to the non-profit, I am constantly trying to strategize on how to create a self-sustaining model for the non-profit that can be replicated all over the world so that we can reach many more children across the globe who are struggling with access to basic education and wellbeing.
It's not always easy to prioritize, whether it's a corporate setting or a non-profit. Having clarity on the battles you need to fight first is very critical, and this comes from really defining what your north star metrics are for success and then working from there.
What advice would you give to young professionals who aspire to have a multi-faceted career like yours?
I would say that sometimes we get in our own way from achieving things. I really like the quote, “the best time to start was yesterday, the next best time is now”. And to know where you are headed, it's important to know what success means to you. It's not always easy to define an intentional living, but you can always take baby steps towards it. I also think that there are no right or wrong choices, it's all about the trade offs you are ready to tolerate in life. Once you are self aware about that, decision making also gets easier. And to be honest, I also do not think it's healthy to chase after the concept of “having it all”. I think everyone's life is so different, and it's all about ruthless prioritization based on what works specifically for your own life and circumstances. This removes a lot of pressure that we create for ourselves, in our personal lives and careers.
FUTURE PLANS AND ASPIRATIONS
What are your future aspirations for your non-profit organization and your philanthropic journey?
There is no shortage of big plans. If I had a magic wand, I think I would want to achieve two things where a lot of my passion lies,
One would be for Blossom Projects to help 1000 more children in the next 5 years pass high school and help them get a job, or help them with an opportunity for higher education.
Number two would be to create a community for women who have gone through a similar journey as me to find a safe place to rebuild their life. I have heard stories, even in this day and age, about a lot of women who are living an oppressed life without a voice or choosing to end their lives because they never got access to mental health help. I would love to create a positive impact in the world by giving such women a path to a new hopeful life and any help they would need to rebuild a confident living for themselves.
Are there any new initiatives or projects you're particularly excited about in the coming months?
Absolutely! We are very excited for Blossom Project's annual fundraiser gala. This year we are hosting the event at The Lucie Stern Community Center in Palo Alto on September 14th, 2024. We have Fiona Ma, CPA, California Treasurer, coming as our distinguished guest for the evening to show her support. It will be a great evening of networking, inspiration and entertainment. There are so many upcoming projects we are planning for the students, so this fundraiser would be a huge value add in making a lot of dreams come true. The event and ticket details are on our website.

THE EVOLUTION OFGalleryWalshPamela
FROM VISION TO REALITY
What inspired you to establish Pamela Walsh Gallery in 2019, and how has your vision for the gallery evolved since its inception?
After spending two decades in the art business managing a gallery in San Francisco, I realized it was time to forge my own path. I transitioned into private art advising, helping clients build their collections, but I found myself missing the direct engagement with artists and the opportunity to nurture their careers. This longing brought me back to my roots in the gallery world, where my passion for art had first blossomed.
In 2019, I found the perfect space in Palo Alto—a location that resonated deeply with my vision. Through my years as an advisor, I learned that having a dedicated space is crucial. It provides not just a venue to exhibit art, but also a unique platform to foster relationships with both artists and clients in ways that can’t be replicated elsewhere. Opening my own gallery was a natural and exciting progression in my career, allowing me to merge my experience with my passion for supporting artists.
The gallery is housed in a historic building designed by Birge
Clark. How does the architecture of this space influence the way you curate and present exhibitions?
From the moment I stepped into the space, I knew it was something special. Designed in 1929 by Birge Clark, a prominent Stanford architect responsible for over 200 buildings in Palo Alto, the gallery’s Spanish Colonial Revival style is rich in history and character. Our entire block on Ramona Street, which he designed, is part of Palo Alto’s Historic Preservation, and I consider it an honor to be its steward.
This space is more than just a beautiful building; it carries a legacy of successful female entrepreneurs, and I am proud to continue that tradition. The vertical space and the natural light pouring in from the skylights create an inspiring environment that elevates the experience of viewing art. I encourage artists to dream big when we collaborate on exhibitions, pushing the boundaries of what they might consider in other spaces. The unique architectural elements invite bold, ambitious presentations, leading to truly extraordinary results.
You represent a diverse roster of contemporary artists as well as the Nathan Oliveira Estate. What qualities do you look for in an artist when deciding to represent them, and how do you nurture their careers?
I’m very selective about the artists I choose to represent; it’s a decision I take to heart. I believe in the importance of falling in love with an artist’s work and becoming a true advocate for their creative vision. Representing an artist means becoming a spokesperson for their unique artistic language, and I relish the challenge of helping others connect with their work.
I have a broad and diverse appreciation for art, which is reflected in the range of artistic expressions I represent. My goal is to ensure that each artist on my roster has a distinct voice, contributing something unique to the gallery. I don’t aim to be recognized for a specific style or genre, but rather for the high quality and integrity of the work I present. Nurturing an artist’s career means supporting their growth and helping them reach new heights, both creatively and professionally.
How do you balance showcasing emerging talent with honoring the legacy of established artists like Nathan Oliveira?
As a dealer, I believe it’s crucial to strike a balance between both. There’s a unique joy in discovering new talent and bringing their work to the forefront. At the same time, showcasing legacy artists like Nathan Oliveira is a distinct honor. Their work holds historical significance and continues to inspire and influence new generations of artists. When you have the opportunity to champion the work of artists who are no longer with us, you play a vital role in preserving and extending their legacy. I’m proud to be doing just that here in Palo Alto, ensuring that their contributions to the art world continue to be celebrated and remembered.
Being located in downtown
Palo Alto, how do you see the gallery contributing to the local art scene? What role does community engagement play in your exhibitions and events?
I chose Palo Alto as the home for my gallery because of the strong sense of community I felt here. After spending 20 years in San Francisco, where I witnessed significant shifts in the gallery scene, I sought a location where I could establish a meaningful connection with the local audience. Palo Alto emerged as the perfect setting for a fine art gallery, offering a community that is both appreciative and supportive of high-quality art and curatorial excellence.
The gallery plays a pivotal role in enriching the local art scene, presenting exceptional art to an audience eager for it. Community engagement is at the heart of our exhibitions and events. For instance, my most recent exhibition, Reclamation: Womxn Reshaping Figures, featured 20 female artists exploring the figure in their work. The community responded with tremendous enthusiasm, highlighting the symbiotic relationship between the gallery and the people it serves. This dynamic connection drives the gallery’s success and ensures that our events res-
onate deeply with the local audience. What have been some of the most challenging moments in running the gallery, and conversely, what have been some of your proudest achievements?
Without a doubt, the most challenging moment in running the gallery was navigating the pandemic. I had opened my doors just four months before the shelter-in-place orders were issued, so the early days were an uphill battle. It’s been a steep climb, but I’m incredibly proud and grateful to still be here today. This Fall marks our five-year anniversary, and that milestone feels like a significant achievement—one that reflects the resilience and dedication it took to overcome such unprecedented challenges.
THE HISTORIC BIRGE CLARK BUILDING ISN’T JUST A GALLERY SPACE; IT’S AN INSPIRING ENVIRONMENT THAT ELEVATES EVERY EXHIBITION TO SOMETHING EXTRAORDINARY.
Pamela Walsh
With the ever-changing landscape of the art world, how do you see Pamela Walsh Gallery evolving in the next five years? Are there any upcoming exhibitions or projects that you’re particularly excited about?
I’m thrilled to be looking ahead to another five years in this incredible space, which gives me the freedom to think big and push creative boundaries. I’m currently engaged with several new artists and have exhibitions planned through 2026 that I believe will make a significant impact. I’m particularly excited about upcoming art fairs and opportunities to collaborate with some of the brilliant minds in the area. There are some exciting projects on the horizon, so stay tuned!
Given your experience in the industry, how do you see the current trends in contemporary art, and how does your gallery align with or challenge these trends?
As a woman in business, I’ve always been passionate about engaging with other women in the industry and championing inclusion as a key driver of growth. One trend I’ve observed, especially during the pandemic, is the shift in how people engage with art. With everyone stuck at home, digital content became a primary way to connect, and it was easier to capture attention online. However, as we move forward, there’s a clear demand for more immersive, in-person experiences.
My gallery is adapting to this shift by embracing more interactive forms of art. For example, we recently featured a performance piece by Jackelin Solorio—the first time we’ve showcased performance art. I wasn’t sure how it would be received, but the response was overwhelming, with over 100 people attending the first performance. The enthusiasm was so strong that we repeated the piece a month later to an even larger crowd. The art business, like any other industry, is constantly evolving to meet the changing appetites of our audience. It’s a challenge I embrace and enjoy.
Do you have a particular artist or piece within the gallery’s collection that holds a special place in your heart? What makes it stand out to you?
As the curator of the gallery, I deeply appreciate and admire all the artists I represent. My passion for art spans across various mediums—paintings, textiles, sculpture, and mixed media—so my gallery reflects this diverse taste. Each new piece that arrives in the gallery becomes my new favorite, as it brings a fresh perspective and energy. It’s a dynamic process; my favorites are always evolving with each new addition, making every moment in the gallery exciting and continually inspiring.
For artists who aspire to be represented by galleries like yours, what advice would you give them in terms of developing their craft and navigating the art market?
Creating art is a lifelong journey, and it's essential to view it as an ongoing practice. My advice for artists seeking representation is to consistently work on their craft and stay dedicated. Documenting your work and maintaining a digital portfolio is crucial, as it helps present your art effectively to galleries. I recommend submitting work to juried exhibitions and applying for artist residencies to gain exposure and experience. Most importantly, keep creating. As Picasso famously said, “Inspiration will find you, but it wants to find you working.” This quote resonates deeply with me and serves as a reminder of the importance of perseverance in the artistic process. I apply this advice to my own work and find it continually inspiring.

story of a former nurse and UX designer who found his true calling in photography, embracing the magic of Paris and the joy of making people smile through his art.
I'm a recovering tech person (UX designer), and former RN with degrees from Boston University and UC San Francisco. So I've worn a bunch of hats in my life. My latest hat is photography, although I have used a camera since high school, when my mom used to bang on the darkroom door at midnight telling me to go to sleep.
I find people and life endlessly fascinating, and having a camera means I get to be invited to see things and meet people I'd never be able to without one. It's a great life. I also like to make people happy, and for me the real payoff in this work is to see the smiles of clients and friends, and to see a photo of mine on their wall, or on their Facebook profile, or especially if they tell me it made them feel good about themselves.
I've been married to the same beautiful, wonderful woman since 1986. Her name is Jackie and we have one grown son, Brendan. Recently Jackie and I bought an apartment in Paris and are working up to living there at least half-time. It's truly a magical place.
CAMERA GEAR
For the photo geeks out there, I mainly use Leica gear, and also shoot medium format film because I'm a little bit crazy. Sadly my mom is no longer around to tell me it's time to go to bed, so I spend way too many hours on photography.

AN EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH THE FOUNDER
Maria Tkachenko
BEHIND THE BRAND
Pro-Beauty Company has quickly become a go-to destination for those seeking innovative beauty and wellness treatments. In this exclusive interview, we speak with the founder about the inspiration behind the brand, the unique services offered, and how she balances the demands of business and family life.
Q: What inspired you to start Pro-Beauty Company? Was there a particular moment or experience that sparked the idea?
A: I'm originally from Ukraine, where body and face massage services are incredibly popular. When I moved to the U.S., I was surprised to find that these holistic treatments were not widely available. I saw an opportunity to introduce these beneficial services to women here, and that’s what inspired me to start Pro-Beauty Company.
Q: Can you share the initial steps you took to bring your vision to life? What were some of the biggest obstacles you faced during the early days of your company?
A: I began by offering massages from home, and the response from my community was overwhelming. I quickly became fully booked, which made me realize I needed a dedicated space to accommodate the demand. I started by renting a room in a salon and eventually expanded to two spas in the Bay Area. One of the biggest challenges I faced was finding reliable professionals to join my team as the business grew.
Q: What are some of your personal favorite treatments from the Pro-Beauty menu, and what makes them stand out for you?
A: My favorite treatment is the bamboo massage. It’s a unique technique that provides muscle relaxation, skin toning, and cellulite reduction all at once. It’s a healing experience for both the body and soul, and I believe it will soon gain popularity across the U.S.
Q: Can you explain how LPG Endermologie Body Slimming works and what makes it effective for body contouring and cellulite reduction?
A: LPG Endermologie is a patented technology from France that is widely used in European spas. It’s a 100% natural and holistic treatment that combines rollers, flaps, suction, and vibration to promote lymphatic drainage, skin tightening, and cellulite reduction. The treatment boosts collagen production, increases blood circulation, and helps to reduce inflammation, all while being pleasant and painless.
Q: The LPG Endermologie Face Lift is quite popular. How does it differ from other facial treatments, and what benefits does it offer?
A: The LPG Face Lift is particularly effective for clients looking to enhance their jawline and improve the skin on their neck, around their eyes, and forehead. We often recommend combining this technique with a face massage for optimal results.
AT PROBEAUTY, WE BELIEVE THAT BEAUTY TREATMENTS SHOULD GO BEYOND JUST ENHANCING APPEARANCE—THEY SHOULD ALSO CONTRIBUTE TO OVERALL WELLNESS. THAT’S WHY OUR SERVICES ARE DESIGNED TO HELP THEM FEEL REJUVENATED AND CONFIDENT IN THEIR OWN SKIN.
Q: Face massage is a part of all your facials. What specific benefits does this add, and how does it enhance the overall facial experience?
A: We offer a variety of face massage techniques, customized to meet our clients' needs. These massages not only lift the skin and muscles but also reduce puffiness, release fascia tension, and relax the chest and shoulder muscles. The immediate result is a more youthful appearance. Additionally, we offer buccal face massages, which are particularly beneficial for those suffering from TMJ pain.
Q: Can you tell us more about the Bamboo Anti-Cellulite Massage? How does it work, and why is it particularly effective for combating cellulite?
A: The Bamboo Massage is one of my personal favorites. This technique is highly effective for muscle relaxation, skin toning, and reducing cellulite. The unique properties of bamboo make it an excellent tool for both deep tissue work and lymphatic drainage.
Q: Endospheres is generating a lot of buzz, especially with the upcoming launch in Palo Alto. Can you explain what this treatment involves and why it’s creating such excitement?
A: Endospheres Therapy is truly a game-changer. It significantly boosts the lymphatic system by stimulating lymph nodes and moving excess fluid out of the body using a special technology. Our clients see immediate results, especially in the lower body, with noticeable reductions in body volume, a feeling of lightness in their legs, and increased energy throughout the day. It's no surprise that this treatment is creating so much excitement!
Q: What are Slimming Wraps, and how do they complement the other treatments at Pro-Beauty? What specific issues do they address?
A: Our Slimming Wraps are highly effective in tightening the skin, reducing cellulite, and providing a significant detox. They also help relax the nervous system and improve sleep. We use special, all-natural cosmetics and bandages infused with algae lotion to achieve the best results. These wraps are an excellent complement to our other treatments, addressing multiple concerns in one session.
Q: How do you stay updated with the latest advancements in beauty and wellness to ensure Pro-Beauty remains at the forefront of innovation?
A: My goal is to deliver quality service that is also safe for our clients' health. I regularly attend beauty conferences to stay informed about new technologies and treatments. Whenever I find a new machine or technique, I thoroughly research it before deciding to offer it in our
spas. As women, we all want to look good, but we also want to be healthy and feel good, and that’s what I strive to provide to our clients.
Q: Balancing the demands of running a successful business and managing family life must be challenging. How do you maintain this balance, especially as a mom?
A: You’re absolutely right—it’s not easy to balance my family life and business, especially since I have three kids who need my attention and time. I try to be there for them as much as possible while also growing my business. My family—especially my mom and husband—are very involved in our kids’ lives, which gives me the extra opportunity to work and build my business.
Q: How has becoming a mom influenced your approach to business and your vision for Pro-Beauty Company?
A: Becoming a mom has been one of the most significant influences on my approach to business. I always say that we immigrants in the U.S. work hard to ensure our families and children can live happily here without facing too many challenges. My kids are my motivation to keep moving forward and never stop dreaming.
Q: Looking ahead, are there any new treatments or services you’re excited to introduce to Pro-Beauty in the near future?
A: For now, our list of services is complete and highly effective for our clients. I’d like to focus more on opening another location in San Francisco, offering the same services we have at our current spas. But I’m always open to new ideas and technologies. I never stop learning new techniques—even if I only learn one new move during an entire training, that move could be crucial and incredibly beneficial for my clients.
