Redding Rancheria Chairman Jack Potter Jr., who currently serves as the “National Congress of American Indians” Vice President of Pacific Region, CEO Tracy Edwards, COO Stacey Carman, Council members Laine Hayward and Tony Hayward, and RREDCO president Jeremy Hayward had the privilege of attending the,” 2023 State of Indian Nations” held at the Native American Museum in Washington DC today. It was delivered by NCAI President Fawn Sharp. Redding Representatives are pictured with President Sharp. This event is a gathering of Tribal Nations from all over the country to discuss issues that affect all Tribes. NCAI President Fawn Sharp delivers the SOIN address and it will outline the goals of Indian Country, the opportunities for success and advancement of Native peoples, and the priorities for our nation-to-nation relationship with the United States. Each year, the President of the National Congress of American Indians presents the State of Indian Nations address to members of Congress, government officials, tribal leaders and citizens, and the American public. Typically delivered during the week that the President of the United States delivers the State of the Union, the State of Indian Nations is a speech that shares the positive and future-oriented vision of Tribal Nations.
