The Reddam House Art Club is designed to help students explore a wide variety of drawing styles and sculpting techniques while utilizing a range of subject matter for inspiration The workshops are available both before and after school. The sessions are designed to inspire and engage the students while helping them to develop their skills in a variety of artmaking practices. The students will have the opportunity to consider artists and their works, explore a variety of mediums, learn about and experiment with different art techniques and concepts.
Students in Kindergarten-Year 2 will spend time creating artwork that is both inspired and influenced by Australian and International artists They will extend their knowledge regarding the Elements of Art and Principles of design, and experiment with what they learn within these concepts. They will have fun exploring with different 2D medium and techniques such as drawing, collage, painting and printmaking.
Students in Year 3-6 will be exposed to a larger variety of art techniques and inspiration, expanding their aesthetic awareness in a fun and positive environment. They will discover artists’ works and techniques while utilising the ideas and concepts into their own artmaking practices and final body of works These classes will focus on creative art expression, images, symbols and personal experiences

Danny Cohen, “The Illustrating Man”, and his team will be teaching the tricks of the trade with a real, hands-on approach to illustration Cartooning encourages creativity and helps to inspire young minds The lessons are conducted by cartoonists with newspaper and television experience.

StarTime’s combined Hip Hop & Tap program is a fun and technical way to develop physical and creative confidence for all ages and levels of ability. This workshop focuses on developing coordination, flexibility, rhythm and musicality by combining the energetic elements of Hip Hop and the technicality of tap.
Each week students will work through a series of exercises and amalgamations to strengthen their skill set, resulting in students having a strong foundation in Jazz and Hip Hop. Routines are specially choreographed to teach performance quality and style, while also drawing on the technique learnt during core exercises

Musical Theatre is one of the fastest growing and in demand forms of performance art Based on the age-old art of storytelling, musical theatre appeals to children of all ages due to the integrated elements of music, dance, acting and singing It’s where performers can challenge themselves across each of these elements, build their confidence and engage audiences in the stories they are telling This course is designed for students for Years 3- 6.

StarTime are experts in inspiring students to develop their creative skills and confidence through drama Providing a focussed, fun and nurturing environment each StarTime Coach is trained to guide students to challenge themselves creatively, by gently pushing past their comfort zone.
Using a suite of selected drama driven games and improvisation activities, students learn to collaborate in small groups and devise their own scenes to embed the fundamentals of acting and storytelling, stagecraft and character creation.
StarTime focus on developing each students unique physical and vocal range, their confidence and creativity. They explicitly teach the importance of courage, commitment collaboration and compassion in any creative endeavour. Years K, 1,2 and years 3-6.

Hollywood Films amaze us with their special FX... and now beginning filmmakers can too! StarTime’s SPFX Filmmaking workshop give students the ability to make their own special FX action sequence. Our professional filmmakers will show you how to use Hollywood techniques in jump cutting, masking and motion graphics. We’ll use green screen and apps to create fireballs, laser shots, explosions and more.
Working in small crews, Students will weave their dynamic action sequences into an engaging story. They will learn about the script to screen process, from ideation, storyboarding and scripting to filming in crews, directing actors and post production processes and techniques. As with all StarTime workshops, the sessions will be punctuated with fun creative games linked to the purpose of the session.
The end of the 2 term (semester program) will include a micro film festival for parents to come and see their child’s work.

Every year in Term 4, students in Kindergarten, Year 1 & Year 2 are involved in the school production It is a wonderful experience that all children and their families enjoy immensely It is an opportunity for students to develop their performing & musical skills, improve their confidence, and be part of the wider school community in a fun and encouraging environment. Students rehearse and prepare for the production during the school day. If students are interested in playing a leading role, they will be a part of an audition process and afterschool rehearsals (Year 2 students only).

Every year in Term 3, students from Year 3 to Year 6 have the opportunity to be involved in the school production Reddam House has a dedicated performing arts team that ensures production quality and training of the highest standard All students that wish to be involved in the production will have the opportunity to do so and will be required at some after-school and weekend rehearsals If students are interested in playing a leading role they will be part of an audition process and will have a significant amount of after-school rehearsals.

Chess is taught by an international chess master and professional chess coach, Vladimir Feldman. Students will learn in-depth strategies and will have the opportunity to put these strategies to the test by competing against each other. Chess is a great tool to promote problem-solving techniques and to stimulate the mind. All skill levels are welcome so that anyone can come and enjoy this sport of the mind

Debating is an exciting co-curricular activity with very valuable gains Working collaboratively, students will learn to speak confidently in front of an audience through engaging content and delivery. Reddam House is pleased to be hosting Code Camp after-school in 2026 At Code Camp, kids design, code, problem solve and become storytellers and creators of technology – in weekly afterschool sessions!
We have reimagined our coding program - weekly challenges, functions, algorithms, branching, variables, game logic, user experience and maths An 8-week program with a new project each week, and the fun doesn’t have to stop after class! Your child will be provided with their very own Code Camp World account which they can use to continue creating at home and to share their projects with family and friends.
Dive into an 8-week adventure with Minecraft Engineers, where students embark on a journey to design and construct their very own fantasy kingdom Beyond just building, students will delve into the intricacies of Redstone engineering, circuitry, and the fascinating wonders of chemistry to bring their castles to life. With the power of command blocks and the versatility of MakeCode for programming, technical challenges become thrilling puzzles waiting to be solved. What marvels can your budding engineer conjure up in Minecraft?

Robotics is a hands-on coding and engineering program with 1:1 robots where imagination meets innovation. Students will embark on self-driven projects and class challenges to build and design robots and program them using block coding and Python. They’ll command their robot to navigate mazes, solve puzzles, and even compete in a wrestling match with other robots. Get ready to code, create, and have a blast with robots! Included in the cost of this course is a robot named Edison Each child who comes to Robotics will take home their very own Edison

Students will also develop a brand identity for their fashion and interior brands and compile a portfolio to showcase their creations. In subsequent terms students will explore other areas of design including graphic, web and game design, Architecture and industrial design, brand and package design, and jewellery design.

Using ipad technology this age group is familiar with, students work in small groups to take on tech challenges with the robots Working in pairs, students have to collaborate and problem solve -learning real world innovation techniques in order to command and control the robot Whether that be to negotiate an obstacle, draw a shape or shoot a goal, each student will understand the fundamental systems behind programming and gradually be introduced to block coding and later JavaScript - one of the most used programming languages today

Keen string players are encouraged to join our String Orchestra Brass players may like to join the Brass Ensemble, who often perform ceremonial music at major school events. Wind, brass, keyboard and percussion students have the option of joining the Primary School Jazz Band, a wonderful training ground for learning the rudiments of jazz harmony and improvisation. Our Rock Band programme welcomes pianists, singers, guitarists, bass guitarists and percussionists. All students are welcome to join our weekly Musicianship class, where they can further their music theory skills

Music at Reddam House plays an integral part in the cultural and academic life of the school It allows our students to develop strengths both intellectual and physical and it establishes a vital link between individual striving and communal success Our instrumental programme is designed to provide students with a strong, practical musical foundation.
From Years 2 to 7, individual tuition and ensembles are a compulsory part of the curriculum. All students must undertake private instrumental lessons on their chosen instrument. Students are then assigned to ensembles based on the instrument that they study

Reddam House is renowned in the wider community for the quality of its singing Students at every stage have the opportunity to participate in the choral program, developing vocal, aural and performance skills Students perform throughout the year at eisteddfodau, assemblies and school events
Kindergarten and Year 1 students are encouraged to join the Gumnuts Choir This voluntary group rehearses weekly, and students are taught foundations of pitch, aural perception and performance Students are introduced to vocal technique and learn the value of teamwork.
Choir is compulsory for students in Year 2, Year 3 and Year 4. These choirs build on the techniques developed in the younger years, while introducing new singers to the musical, social and cognitive benefits of group singing
Keen musicians and singers in Years 5 and 6 are advised to join Year 5-6 Singers. Students of all levels of experience are welcome, and the group has achieved considerable success in competitions and the wider community. Choristers build on the foundations of the younger choirs, and perform a wide range of repertoire whilst furthering their technical skills. Year 5 -6 Singers is one of Reddam’s most prestigious musical ensembles, and students are eligible for RHAP points for Music for their participation.

In addition to their school Physical Education lessons, students in K-2 are given the opportunity to try out different sports in a social, fun and supportive environment As there is a new sport offered each term, the sign-process is completed at the end of every term for the one following
Students will be collected from their classrooms at 1 55pm and taken by bus to Queens Park 1, 2 and 3. Students will return to the Woollahra Campus at 3.30pm, where students can be collected from the AstroTurf. In the event or wet weather, students can be collected at the regular time of 2.00pm.
These sessions involve a range of activities and games that will foster sport specific skills, as well as improve overall aerobic fitness
Students will complete drills in small groups and play games to develop their soccer abilities and learn the value of teamwork The soccer program is suitable for all ability levels, from beginner to advanced and is always enjoyed by students Sessions will be centred on learning the basic skills of soccer: passing, dribbling and shooting
Students will get the opportunity to play invasion-style games, learn the basic skills of the sport and will be taught by elite level coaches. Cooperation, sportsmanship and enjoyment will be key elements of the program.
These sessions incorporate a number of games that have been taught in AS Sport and Physical Education. The focus is competition and students participate in year groups.

This exciting after-school program will be conducted at Bondi Beach with qualified instructors from Let’s Go Surfing Students will learn the basic skills of surfing and progress to more challenging techniques throughout the term. Students will be transported there and back via bus, accompanied by Reddam Staff Students will depart school at 2:50 pm via bus and will be returned to school at 4:45pm. Students can be picked up outside the Let’s Go Surfing HQ, 128 Ramsgate Ave at 4:30 pm. Please note that Due to council regulations regarding community impact, there are limited spaces for Surfing Students can register their interest, and then will be given a chance to surf at some point during the year.

The Taekwondo program is well underway and is growing every year. Run by our talented instructor, students learn the discipline of martial arts easily. The sessions include: physical conditioning, fitness, taekwondo techniques of punching & kicking, as well as basic self-defence.
