At Frederick County Parks and Recreation (FCPR), we believe in the powerful ability of sports to unite communities and promote wellness at every age. Whether you’re looking to join our Adult Sports Leagues or Youth Sports Leagues, you’ll find more than just games—we offer opportunities to grow, connect, and thrive.

Adult Sports Leagues: Join us for our Adult Sports Leagues, where competition meets camaraderie. At FCPR, we’re dedicated to creating a supportive environment for adults of all skill levels and backgrounds. From seasoned players to beginners, our leagues emphasize sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. With the guidance of our passionate staff and volunteers, challenge yourself, build friendships, and stay engaged in the sports you love. Youth Sports Leagues: For our younger athletes, FCPR Youth Sports Leagues are more than just about playing—they’re about growing and learning together. We provide a fun, safe, and respectful environment where children of all abilities can thrive. Whether they’re trying a sport for the first time or honing their skills, our inclusive leagues celebrate sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. Supported by dedicated staff, volunteers, and coordinators, we foster a love for sports that extends beyond the field, helping children build character, develop skills, and forge friendships. June 11th - 25th: $112/player

All teams will play approximately 6 regular season games and a championship tournament. Games will be played on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-9:30pm at various Rec Centers between June 25th to August 13th. There is a roster minimum of 8 people and a maximum of 15 people to a team. Team jerseys/shirts not included.

This is a 7 v 7 league. All games are played on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-10:00pm at Utica District Park between June 18th to August 20th. Approximately 7 regular season games prior to post-season playoff. There is a roster minimum of 10 people and a maximum of 16 people to a team. Team jerseys/shirts are not included.

Final Registration

Register by June 10th: $49/player

This program is for males 16 years and older. Games will be played on Tuesday nights from 6:00-8:00pm on the synthetic turf at Othello Regional from June 10th to August 12th. Registrants will receive an XL reversible jersey with their pre-paid registration. All athletes must provide their own equipment (helmet, sticks, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, etc.). Body-Checking is NOT allowed in this league. Players under the age of 18 years must have a parent/guardian waiver completed prior to playing. Co-ed Quads Beach Volleyball

This 4v4 co-ed adult beach volleyball league will be played on Utica District Park’s beach volleyball courts from June 23rd to August 25th. There are 6 regular season games prior to a post season playoff. All games played on Monday evenings from 5:00 - 8:00pm. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of one game per week. Each team will be required to turn in an official team roster prior to the beginning of the season. Games will be self-officiated, and volleyballs will be provided by the league.

Youth Tennis League

Juniors Tennis League

Ages: 10 -14 #36519

Registration Deadline

Register by May 21st: $49/player

This league is geared towards tennis players who are at the intermediate and rising-advanced levels interested in learning about and getting experience with match play. A commitment of 2 nights a week is needed for a weekly practice and Thursday night matches which will both take place from 5:00-9:00pm. You will choose your practice location while registering. Middletown players will practice on Monday evenings beginning June 2nd. Urbana players will practice on Wednesday evenings beginning June 4th. Matches begin June 12th and go until July 24th at Middletown Middle School. In addition to skill development, forehands, backhands, serves and volleys - players will be part of a team and will compete against other teams in Frederick County. Match play will consist of singles and doubles matches in a 10-game-pro-set format. Each player will receive a team shirt. Please bring your own racquet.

We are looking for Youth & Adult League Officials

This position offers approximately 4-8 hours per week and varies on both weekdays and weekends. This is a non-benefited part-time position with a rate of $16.00/hour and candidates must be at least 16 years old to apply.

We’re Hiring Sports Referees

This person will have the opportunity to officiate Youth and Adult Basketball, Flag Football, Soccer and Volleyball Leagues. They are expected to maintain a fun and safe environment for all participants. Keeping players safe and players healthy are first concerns, the official will promptly and decisively address unsafe situations as well as unsafe/inappropriate conduct on the part of coaches, players and spectators. Location, time and duration of each game will depend upon schedule, location and other factors as determined by supervision. Necessary equipment will be provided by the Division of Parks and Recreation.

• Call 301-600-2936, have your program number (i.e. #24099) and credit card number ready.

You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail after your registration is complete so please make sure your e-mail is current in our system. Be sure to verify your receipt for accuracy.

ACCOMMODATIONS:

We are able to offer reasonable accommodations, such as providing support staff to individuals with disabilities on an as-needed basis to assist in making the program a positive experience for the individual. To request accommodations, please call 301-600-2936 at least two weeks prior to the program start date.

AGE POLICY:

Program participants must be the advertised age of the program before the program ends. All age requirements are set to benefit the participants and to make sure the game-play is consistent and safe.

CODE OF CONDUCT & PROCEDURES

CODE OF CONDUCT

Frederick County Parks and Recreation (FCPR) is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all participants and guests. To promote safety and enjoyment for all, FCPR asks individuals to act appropriately at all times while they are visiting FCPR facilities or participating in FCPR leagues.

As a participant in our Leagues, you agree to:

1. Treat other participants, staff, spectators, and officials with respect at all times.

2. Refrain from the use of profanity or obscene gestures.

3. Follow all directions from officials and FCPR staff.

4. Respect the fields, rec centers, equipment, and facility amenities.

5. Promote sportsmanship, safety, and fun above winning.

6. Read and review the league rules, FCPR League Mission Statement, and facility policies.

Customer Withdraws:

FCPR has a discipline policy for conduct at recreation programs and facilities. Anyone that violates the Code of Conduct and are asked to leave the league or facility, will not be refunded. County employees are not responsible for league participants prior to, or after, a scheduled games.

FCPR will investigate all reported incidents. Suspension or termination of the FCPR privileges may result if there’s any Code of Conduct violation.

CONCUSSION AWARENESS:

The registration process for youth sports requires a review of the information on concussions and concussion awareness available on our website www.recreater. com/concussion. Participants must review the concussion awareness information prior to the first session in order to comply with the state law. If you are unable to review the concussion awareness information online, you must request a written copy from the Division of Parks & Rec by calling 301-600-2936.

INCLEMENT WEATHER-RELATED CLOSURES:

In times of inclement weather, you can check the status of a program by calling the Program Status Line at 301-600-6291, checking our social media outlets listed below or go to our website (www.recreater.com).

If a program is cancelled due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to make-up missed programs. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled programs that are missed due to conflicts with personal schedules.

INHERENT RISKS:

Participants must acknowledge that there are inherent risks and dangers associated with recreation activities and must hold Frederick County, Maryland harmless from all claims for injuries, damage, or loss, which may result from you or your child’s participation.

IMAGE/MEDIA WAIVER:

Participants consent to Frederick County, Maryland’s use of the participant’s image and likeness as shown in any photographs, videotapes, motion picture film, or electronic images, and any audio recordings made of the participant’s voice in whatever way the County desires, including television, print and Internet websites. Furthermore, you consent that such photographs, films, recordings, electronic images shall be the sole property of Frederick County, Maryland. Participants have the option to submit a non-consent for the use of images of yourself or your child during online registration or by calling 301-600-2936.

Refunds are issued for activities cancelled by Frederick County Parks & Recreation or when rescheduling is not possible. Customer withdrawals must be requested using the online form and are subject to the refund schedule available online at www.recreater.com.
